Dior Addict Lipstick 2011 Relaunch

The New Dior Addict Lipstick collection is inspired by John Galliano’s bold, daring fashion collections. Featuring the largest shade wardrobe of any Dior lipstick collection—56 striking shades direct from the runway—this trend-setting collection offers a variety of options for the woman who is not afraid to experiment. The ultra-hydrating formula creates a veil of luminous shine and vibrant color in a single sweep.

The New Face of Addict

Kate Moss has been John Galliano’s muse for many years. Her unique beauty as well as her love of fashion are an endless source of inspiration for Galliano. Over the years, they have formed a lasting friendship and fashion partnership. No one else but Kate could possibly embody Dior Addict. Three shades in the collection represent three sides of Kate: Diorkiss #578, which embodies the “Rock Icon” style of skyscraper heels, oversized sunglasses and sexy jewelry, the “Doll Icon” style of Beige Casual #222, the perfect nude to mix with pearls and a light pink Lady Dior, and the bold, “Glam Icon” look of Red Carpet #963.

The key ingredient, Mirror Jelly, brings shine, volume and hydration to the lips. This unique ingredient is made up of two components: polymers that provide a long-lasting, second-skin effect with exceptional hydrating and softening properties and silicone oil, which creates a light, smooth texture. In addition, a significantly lower level of wax (25% less than a standard lipstick) creates a light-reflecting, voluminous effect.

  1. This sounds so awesome. I love all things Dior! <3

56 shades? My brain just short-circuited. I look forward to seeing what the collection is all about, but it sounds like the offering could be a little overwhelming…

  3. This is up at Sephora already! =)

For some reason, Dior lipsticks don’t do much for me. Coverage is not all that and most lipsticks that I did try looked more like a lipgloss.

I have just 1 Dior Addict lipstick (Catwalk Mauve) in my collection of 10 and i must say… it’s one of my absolute favorites! the formula is amazing. looks like a semi-pigmented shimmery gloss but feels like a silky soft lipstick.

I already have #222 Casual Beige and I love the feeling of the formula.
Plus it’s a glossy nude that can be worn everyday and I keep it in my purse for every on-the-go touch-up.

Er, I don’t think that launch date is correct. Most of the shades listed are on the sephora website now in the new packaging/format.;jsessionid=FTEQPNCQMMT1ICV0KRTQX0Q?id=P282501&categoryId=C7010

are they to replace Dior Addict Lipcolor or Dior Addict HIgh shine..? they seem to me of the sheer side and the packaging reminds me more of the High shine line…for which i never cared much….please please dont let it be Lipcolor cause that range is my favorite by far!!!

I can’t wait for these to launch. Sephora has them online but I can’t find them in stores anywhere yet.

Will you be doing reviews on any of the shades in this collection? I’d love to know what you think before purchasing :)

I LOVE Dior but I’ve never really “got” into their lipsticks. I didn’t like the Rouge Dior formula (the new Voluptuous Care is OK on me though) and I find they do light and deep shades pretty well, but I struggle to find neutrals that aren’t too bright.
I find they tend to use a lot of peach and brown tones in their lipsticks, which aren’t super flattering on me.

But surely I can find at least ONE out of 56!

I am limited to ordering online Sephora for these. They sound like they are exactly what I’ve been searching for in a lippie lately. I was a bit surprised that the price is only 28.00 (USA Dollars) on the Sephora site. Good price for Dior, I had expected to pay almost twice as much. Thanks for the heads up that they are coming out or are already on Sephora!

I love the formula for these lipsticks!! I have Beige Casual #222 and definitely looking into getting more :)

Sounds like someone wants to compete with MAC’s range! lol Jokes aside, I’m excited! I have a Dior Addict gloss and it feels so nice on the lips. <3 it.
