Thanks for this video Christine I’ve really been into the nudes lately and I might just have to go pick this up. I just have to let you know that you are absolutely awesome and I love your website when I log onto the computer it’s the first thing I check. My three kids even know who you are we only have one computer so when I’m on your website they already know you….my daughter will say “oh mommy is checking out Christine again”

The only matte I have is Viva Glam I but I don’t think the texture makes much difference to the overall make up! just makes sure your lips are moisturised! But I might be tempted to use a more shimmery/ frosted eyeshadow to give my face a bit more life.

hm… i wear lipstick pretty much everyday and im sixteen! not sure if you two JUST brought it back….

  4. Andrea says:

Well, this makes me INCREDIBLY HAPPY. I absolutely cannot stand super shiny lips and piling on lipgloss… bleh. I much prefer just a nice shade of lipstick alone.

I like this segment, really. It’s fun, exciting, and informative. There’s nothing wrong with that!

  6. Jackers says:

Heh, they were adorable and she was funny. I’m actually getting into lipstick lately, I’m gonna go for broke and rock some classic matte red lips to a wedding later this month so the tip about putting powder was awesome and I’m going to try it. I never have heard that before, glad I know now. Thanks!

  8. Leenie says:

I been wearing lipstick for years my look isn’t finished unless I have my lipstick on. Thanks Brett for the tips you’ve shown.

  9. Ivette says:

I love that color.. I wonder if it would work on my nc 35 skin… btw the mua seems like such a nice person

  10. Helena says:

Wasn’t she the dumb blond on Reba? Ha ha ha. She’s so much more lovable out of character xD

  11. Alison says:

i love mattes, i hardly ever wear gloss or sheer lippies, i prefer to do my lip moisturising overnight and spend all day with bone dry, vibrant lips

sometimes if i really like a colour i’ll just wear the liner as a matte lipstick on its own

He’s very sweet isn’t he? I often wear lipstick, usually alone, although usually not matte shades, but I guess without gloss they’re not that shiny/glossy anyway. Didn’t actually know lipstick was “away” lol, but nice to see this little video anyway. ;)

  13. Anna says:

And thats why honeylove poped in my shopping cart…………………

  14. Casey says:

I enjoy these videos…I happen to have Honeylove..its a lovely color. It was the 2nd MAC lipstick I ever bought!

  15. sophie says:

i did not like the color on her! it made her look kinda dead….and she has terrible teeth!
But i think on others it would look really good! i am a lipstick fan, i like them more than glosses.

  16. Jennifer D. says:

I found that Aveeno or Lush Lip Balm are great satin balms prior to applying matte lipstick and I let them sit through drying my hair and applying the rest of my makeup then I apply the liner and fill in just a little less than halway up into the actual lip (but full circle and making the desired shape) then apply a little…my powderflage is sitting there so why not then the lipstick, blot and lipstick again. I have four hour lips ready to go to work:)

  17. I love how excited Brett gets when he does these videos! Thanks for the lovely videos! :)
