Bobbi Brown Chrome Eyeshadow: Gold, Silver, Pewter
Bobbi Brown Chrome Eyeshadow ($22.00 for 0.1 oz.) are new and limited edition from Bobbi Brown’s Holiday Collection for the holiday season.
These are stunning metallic finish eyeshadows — ultra pigmented, feel like butter, and blend easily. There are three shades available: Gold, which is a darker bronzy-gold; Silver, which is a bright metallic silver-gray; and Pewter, which is a taupe-brown gold with a silver-gold sheen. All three are equally amazing, just from the first use. They’re so soft, and each shade packs plenty of color. I think I may have to get a back-up of Pewter, because it’s just such an excellent color in a stellar formula. (I’m totally planning to use Pewter as a one-swipe-and-you’re-done shade!)
Bottom Line: Considering the size of the shadow (they’re cheaper than MAC, by the ounce!), the sleek packaging of Bobbi Brown (though it does hold fingerprints), and the amazing quality of these shadows… I am in love! So smooth, so rich in color, and I’m all over anything metallic. Perfect shades for holiday, too!

Bought pewter in Holt Renfrew. Love it so much. Spreads like butter, not that I didn't expect it to after reading your review. Seriously considering going back for silver...

I bought the pewter and loved it so much, I went back and got the silver. Good thing b/c the silver is sold out at my BB counter. The pewter looks amazing over the black greasepaint stick from the MAC Style Black collection!

how close is pewter to smoke & diamonds?
IMO, it has more brown to it, and it has less of a frost finish and way smoother.

I really like the silver, but Im a silverholic so I have too many to warrant buying a new one. Thats the line Ill use when asked but Ill secretly buy this and pretend Ive had it ages ... might get the gold and pewter too ... Do these have a similar consistency to the Benefit Velvet Eyeshadows? Although I cant imagine another e/s being so soft, they remind me of them quite a bit.
Yes, actually, they kind of do! I'd say they're not quite as soft, but they're close.

god, pewter is killing me. i just bought a benefit cream shadow in skinny jeans that looked like that in the store but doesn't last like that on your eyes...now i'm wondering if bobbi brown could do it better...dangerous. lol
Ooh! Pewter looks gorgeous, but Silver is the one that really takes the cake in my opinion. I'm a sucker for a good silver shadow that doesn't lean green-blue-ish!

Pewter does look gorgeous...slightly cooler than my all time favorite, MAC Patina!

I think Baked as more of a coppery feel to it, IIRC!
My favourite colour is Chrome from this palette.
I love the Silver and Gold shades, they are usually the colors I use in makeup.
I usually look at your swatches first and thought pewter was gorgeous and a great color alone. I might have to get two also once I check it out.
Wow! Pewter looks super gorgeous! I will definitely get this next time I'm near the Bobbi Brown counter...which may not be soon, but I will get it sometime before it disappears.

I think this review is spot on! The shadows are really great - I wasn't going to get them, but after I swatched them, there was no contest. I got a 3-pan holder for them too. So beautiful :-) If you like metalics - these are the best.
They look lovely but the problem is that *every* single brand has these shades :))) They+re ALL so repeating themselves :D
I don't see too many shades of pewter, IMO!
