7 Must-Have MAC Slimshine Lipsticks

Gentle Simmer slimshine is a soft, sheer yellow-based pink, wihch kind of makes it a soft pinky coral shade with gold pearl. It’s extremely creamy, moisturizing, and it has a gorgeous glossy sheen finish.
Voile slimshine is a sheer golden-toned yellow. It doesn’t really go on yellow (at least, not for me), but it adds a very natural, easy on the eyes golden shimmer.
Funshine slimshine is a brighter version of Gentle Simmer, and it’s a bit more of a pink, too. It has just a touch of coral to it.
Bare slimshine is a creamy, opaque muted pink. It’s kind of like a nude/neutral color, but it is a bit more pigmented than traditional nude lipsticks are.

Grenadine slimshine is a gorgeous, semi-sheer raspberryish-red with gold pearl. It’s really stunning.
Rock Out slimshine is a pop of hot pink with gold pearl with a creamy texture. It’s fairly opaque, and the formula itself is moisturizing.
Missy slimshine is a semi-sheer, creamy orange-coral kind of shade. It’s not really peachy, but it’s not bright orange either.
Long Stem Roses is my favourite slimshine

how would you compare slimshines to the regular lipsticks? I’ve never tried one
Slimshines are extremely soft, very much like slightly hardened lipglosses. They glide on so easily and definitely glossier than regular ones, even compared to glaze ones. HTH!

How pigmented are they?
They go on kinda pretty sheer. My lips are not pigmented at all (I don’t need lip concealers for the colors to show up) but most of the slimshines I’ve tried were pretty sheer on me.
Slimshines are sheer to medium pigmentation, depending on the slimshine.
They’re sheerer, glossier, more like a “gel” texture.
My favorite is Voile. It gives that pretty golden glimmer to the lips, so pretty! I have yet to try Long Stem Roses..

I’d add Urgent! It’s a great soft red that says “I am confident, but not up in your face.” Wearing it to a job interview today! Note to self…check out Grenadine.

i’ve never tried slimshines before. guess i just always gravitated towards the lippies & glosses, but seems like a product i should definitely give a shot.

Long Stem Rose is my fav! I really love Bare too, it seems to be everyone’s favorite
Bare is a great less nude but still nude shade.

My favorite slimshine is High 90s – although I do realize your lists only include perm items (which is highly appreciated btw). Out of the perm line, by fave is Funshine.

Despite loving sheer lipsticks, I don’t own any slimshines, i tried High 90′s but didn’t like the way it looke don me. Grenadine sound lovely though so I will have to check that out.

long stem rose did not make the list??? really disagree with that! Its my favourite lipstick of ALL TIME! So sad it didn’t make the cut christine!
I like pretty much all of the slimshines, but I felt these offered a good mix of colors amongst the range but also as standouts against all MAC lipsticks, too

I thought I was going to love Grenadine, until I tried it on my lips.. It turned out to be an opaque fuschia – it was still a nice color, but it wasn’t what I was expecting. (I really must learn to do lip swatches IN-store!)

that’s my fave and only slimshine. thanks to your swatch i was able to see how it looked and ask my cousin to get it for me when she went to the US and bring it back for me 
It’s a limited edition shade, and the lists only include permanent shades, sorry!
I love slimshines! It’s the perfect blend of lipstick and lipglass without the stickiness. My favorites are cocoamour and lovey-dove.

I just picked up Urgent! and I like it. I also have Missy and Intimidate.
I really like the slimshines because I love lipsticks, and not so much glosses. I get a glossy look without wearing gloss

My favorite Slimshine is Tropic Glow but it’s LE which is tragic and sad because I didn’t buy a backup. I also really like Bare because I don’t like nudes and that’s the only one where I don’t have concealer lips or something like that!
Tropic Glow was a nice one! I liked all of the ones released with Cool Heat, too!
Christine you HAVE to try Gaily (well, i think it’s spelled gaily..) its a rose-berry tone slimeshine that’s my all-time fav…it goes on nicely on pretty much ANYONE. my mom and I can share this and we both look fantaaaaabulous in this!

but if you apply to much it doesss begin to look a little TOOO coral-y.

Try using lip liner or Prep + Prime lip underneath
