5-Minute Makeup:  Purples

Here is a really quick look I did the other day before I went to have dinner with my family (my grandma is visiting!) :)  I’m testing out NARS’ Multiple Tint in Cadaques right now, so yes I will review it, just give me some time to test out the wear!

You will need the following…

For eyes, start by applying Smudgeproof as your eyeshadow base all over the eye area with the 249. Using the 239, apply Seedy Pearl eyeshadow all over the lower lid. Lightly blend Fig. 1 eyeshadow in the outer crease and very outer edge of the lid with the 226.  Blend Hush eyeshadow with the crease shade and highlight the brow bone . Bring everything together by applying #4L liner on the lower lash line. Finish by sweeping lashes with Plushlash mascara.

For cheeks, apply Cadaques blush on the apples of the cheeks and smooth with fingertips.

For lips, apply Sweetie lipstick first, and then layer Nymphette lipglass for a complementing lip.

    Sooo love that look!
You know Christine, you’ve been my inspiration for a few weeks now (before as well but back then I didn’t have the courage to even try out your wonderful looks) and I love each and every look on me. I adapt it sometimes to my skin tone but generally they are so universal! Thanks for this one as well!
Just one question: you used Seedy pearl on your whole upper lid as a base right?

  13. Love it! Very soft and elegant. :)

  14. Amy p

This looks great on you! Your great at blending, I am so crappy at it though, still learning haha.

  15. piggles

I noticed your tank top always matches the dominant color for your eye creations. Is that how you get your color inspirations? :)

  16. I love this one! is perfect 😀 and the lips are sooo cool!

  17. Michelle

    Soft and pretty!!

  18. Michou

  34. This is really nice! I’m really thinking I need those colours now^^
I love this look on you, you look great!

  35. Beautiful!! I love to see looks like this, that aren’t related to any one release, but are permanent products! I have Seedy Pearl, and love it a lot, and think it needs more love!! It’s a great look!

  36. so pretty! i really like the way this looks on you (purple with brown eyes is one of my favorite combos – i just love brunettes in general – lol!) :)

  37. Dao

I love this look. It is so simple and pretty! And took only 5 minutes? Wow!

  38. Dianna

absolutely gorgeous, Christine – I love uncomplicated looks!

  39. Erin

I love how natural the NARS Multiple Tint looks! Can’t wait to hear your take on it. :)

  40. Carrie

Very pretty! I don’t have Seedy Pearl or Fig. 1, but I’d try this look w/ similar MAC shadows.

  41. Rae

As a violet fiend, I LOVE this. It’s simple-but-gorgeous looks like this one that make me super-jealous of your double lids!! Just stunning.

Hope you’re having a nice visit with your grandma :)

  42. LNU

You succeeded in only using two eyeshadows! I also like this look, its sweet and soft. :)

  43. KY

Absolutely gorgeous! Personally I love purple on you!!!

  44. CeeBee

Soft, simple and undeniably pretty! And only 2 eyeshadows – not counting highlighter! I’m going to try this tomorrow! (but with Mystical Mist because I don’t have Fig.1)

Love the glossy pink lip combo too!

  45. kcrystal

Purples look good on me so i might give this combo a try. I find other colors like greens and blues work better on you.

  46. Mai-Huong

Beautiful! The color scheme suits you so well :)

  47. Love that the lid is nearly nude with most of the color on the crease. My clients tend to think that they need a color on the lid and then a darker shade for the crease. They’re afraid to mix it up and experiment. I really love all these tutorials you and other artists post. It shows the world its okay to play with colors.

  48. liz

this is my favorite look you’ve ever done.

  49. Tasmin

I have tried the Nars Multiples. Not suitable for anyone above NC40. Also, Have you tried the Nars Pro Prime products?

  50. Nicole

    Oooh this is really pretty!

I’m interested to see what you think of the NARS Multiple Tints. I find that it lasts all day on my skin! A little sticky for a while, but eventually it sets and will NOT budge. 😀

  51. Jasmine

    Love it!

  52. Celeste

haha you finally used just 2 eyeshadows! (not including highlighter) look great good job!

  53. Brenda

christine, I really, REALLY like this :) good job

  54. chibu74

very pretty…purple looks good on you

  55. Cristina

I have seen many swatches of cadaques but here it looks like you are hardly wearing any blush at all! did you not apply enough LOL. I am more interested in Turks and caicos but I am not sure how that will look like on my NC30 skin

  56. Diana

THis look is so beautiful! Christine would you say that Fig 1 is comparable to Mac’s Sketch? Or do I need to own both?

  57. iliang25

    totally love it!!! I can’t believe that I don’t have fig 1.

  58. Hilana

What a beautiful look. Classic, classy and it would everybody I know. Beautiful lips too. Very well put together Christine. I am going to copy this one fo sho! :)

  59. Vale

I love purple and this is a very subtle way to wear it but… what about, sometimes, showing us a more evening-style look? I mean, something more gothic, ie: black, violet and other bold colour? I would really like to see you with this kind of styl! I am curious! 😀

  60. Leea

    ooh i love this look!! :- )
Would Plum Dressing work as a dupe for the Fig. 1 eyeshadow?

  61. Cactus Flower

    very pretty! :)

  62. Dini

This look is beautiful and you looks stunning – I’d love to try it out for a casual night out!

  63. Jannette

aww u look so beautiful and feminine with that look! I love it!

  64. Jessica

Such a pretty look! I actually just bought Nymphette lipglass about 3 days ago and I am loving it!

  65. Teresa

Wow this looks incredible on you! Sooo pretty! It’s sweet, romantic, and did I say pretty? I love it! You look great

  66. cherryglass

LOVELY!!! I’m copying this look in its entirety. Thank you for a fresh take on purples (which I seem to collect for hopes of accentuating the green in my eyes) This is great!

  67. Valerie

  69. Rachel Lauren

Christine, can you please do a Mardi Gras look? It would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
