5 Deliciously Vampy Lipsticks

These are five deep, dark, and unabashedly vampy lipsticks that will add a whole lot of drama. I love pairing a really dark lip with nearly naked eyes–just inky black mascara and taupe eyeliner.

What’s YOUR favorite vampy lipstick?

  1. MAC Underworld is pretty vampy on me. Revlon Va Va Violet and Black Cherry are also good.

Back in my grunge days in the 90’s, I used to love Revlon’s Blackberry!

    • Wendy

Speaking of the 90’s, do you remember Revlon’s Exotika? It was more of a brownish burgundy. Super-vampy!

  3. Ohh!!! I need one of these for my Black Swan costume!!! Kind of liking the NARS one the best!

  4. Carla

I loooove deep lipsticks, especially for fall/winter!
It can be somewhat of a higher-maintenance look, but I think it’s worth it.
Pale, wan, “nude” lips are getting veddy old, in my opinion.

  5. Pawsha

    Love the NARS!

  6. I’m really into these kinds of colours. I have Smoked Purple, but I may add that MUFE one to my wishlist as well.

  7. Nat

I am extremely pale (cool-toned) with naturally pink lips so most of these shades unfortunately look too dark on me. Not black necessarily (I love black lippie!) but just an odd dark brown color.

MAC Diva is my favorite vampy lipstick. I like MAC Dubonnet for a nice daytime vampy lip too.

  8. Becky

Chanel Hysteria is sooo vampy! I hardly ever wear it but I love it.

    • Melanie

I have it too…think I might have wore it once. I love it so much, just can’t seem to part with it! Great color and super moisturizing.

  9. I seriously love vampy lips. Although some dislike the contrast, I like them against my pale skin. I loved the mattenes from the Style Black and Cult of Cherry collections, as well as the Chanel ones from the “Les Noirs” collection. I keep holding out hope for a gorgeous, dark Rouge G one of these days…

MAC Cyber’s a vampy colour I love too. How does it compare to MAC Smoked Purple?

  11. These are so beautiful! Vampy lipsticks are a little too much drama for me so I use Urban Decay Pocket Rocket Lipgloss in Jesse. Its kind of a sheer vampy gloss to me. So awesome!!

  12. Nichole

    top and middle!!

It gets no Vampier than MAC Prince Noir, I love that lippy so much and I’ve got my eye on KVD Foiled Love Lipstick in Oh My Goth that one looks fantastic for holiday parties.

  14. Collette

MAC media is pretty gosh darn vampy too

  15. Alison

MAC Dark Side. I somehow cracked mine (wtf, self) and NEED a new one this season.

  16. Yumi

    Seriously these are vampy!!!:
Chanel Rouge Coco No. 29 Ballet Russe.
Laura Paige No. 130 Plum Spice
    Wet’n’Wild No. E522A Dark Wine

    DuWop Twilight Venom.
Bourjois Lipstain in Praline Dis Moi Oui

Dior Addict Lipstick No. 624 Féline
Bourjois Lovely Brille No. 10 Cocktail des cerises

These are all used by me, and I have great experience with them all. But it’s also because vampy-purple-dark-rosy-colours suit me very well :-)
