Yesterday I used the heatherette eye trio 1 to make a fun pop blue smokey eye, then used the dual tipped liner and opulash mascara. I contoured the cheeks with refined golden by MAC and then finished the look off with Brave New Bronze from the style warrior collection. It is a very fashion-forward fun look.

When it hasn’t be raining (and hot), it’s been hot again so I’ve been using Benefit’s Birthday Suit a lot, with the matte brown from the Vanity palette in the crease when I have the energy, and black pencil liner, TheBalm’s Down Boy on my cheeks and Laugh a Lot on my cheeks

In the beginning of the week, I wore a beige/blue/brown eye makeup made with UD shadows : Radium on the upper lid, Suspect in the inner corner, with Maui Wowie blended over it, Twice Baked in the outer corner and on 2/3 of the lower lash line, a touch Smog in the crease, and Midnight Cowboy as a highlighter. I added MAC Pearglide liner in Petrol Blue on the upper lash line.

I loved this look, it really made the green in my eyes pop!

I bought Stila Peacock Smudge Stick recently, so I’ve been loving gold shadows with that liner. Even though I’m a dark lips girl, I’ve been trying out pink lipsticks and lighter glosses. My favorite combo (I’m wearing it today) is NYX Milan lipstick topped with MegaShine in Plum.

I am completely in love with my Buxom Insider Eyeliner. Completely makes my smoky cat-eye look which is one of my favorites – this week I used UD ‘ace’ from the anniversary palette to get the smoky look!

Yesterday I wore a bronze eye with black winged liner (ricepaper, cork, bronze, and dazzlelight and blacktrack) and coral lips with hibiscus l/s and lychee luxe gloss. (All MAC)

I got Lancome’s gift with purchase this week and it came with blue eyeshadow. My daughter didn’t want it so I tried it on, and I was told it looked nice. Now, I haven’t worn blue eyeshadow since the 70’s and 80’s! It’s supposed to be a no-no. It’s Color Design regal sapphire on the lid, which is white-ish frost-ish and a tiny bit of All Made Up in the crease, just a small amount. I usually wear brule or naked lunch, very mild neutral colors lightly applied, so this was a switch for me.

I did two looks that I really liked. First, I used MAC Sun Blonde all over the lid and applied Surf USA w/ an eyeliner brush at my lower lashes, bringing the line up slightly so it met w/ the Sun Blonde. I also used Graphblack liner on my upper lash line, Benefit High Brow, Tarte Lash Hugger mascara, MAC Pressed Amber Mineralize Blush (LOVE!) and Missy Slimshine.

For the 2nd look, I used MAC Mineral Mode e/s all over the lid and at the inner corners w/ Faux Gold in the crease and blended at the outer corners, UD 24/7 Eye Pencil in Whiskey, Clinique High Impact mascara in Black Honey, Pressed Amber on my cheeks & MAC High Tea lipstick.

Last night I wore Chanel’s quad in Mystic eyes (for a smokey look) , NARS’s laguna bronzer and Givenchy’s lipstick in paradise pink ( A bright blue-pink looks like MAC’s saint germain )

I’ve been using Kanebo Sensai bronzer (the Soft Bronze shade) and Gold Go-Lightly from MAC’s “surf, baby!” collection as a base/foundation. I chose to focus on the eyes and my favourite combo was a greenish turquoise from Lancome’s palette for Doll Eyes layered over Shiseido hydro-powder e/s in H13 Clover Dew. I don’t remember the palette’s name but it’s the one featured on the Doll Eyes mascara ad.

I’ve been using MAC Untitled Paint as a wash on the lid with Patina or other neutral color in the crease and MAC Semi-Precious Pressed Amber blush everyday, perfect for summer!

First and foremost – Mad love to Christine for creating Jealousy Wakes!!You go girl!! Everytime I wear it, I get compliments. I bought it because I thought it’d be fun to blend with some of my pigments. I didn’t think it would look good on me by itself (I’m NC44). I usually stick with golds, bronzes, browns, plums and corals. Since I’m still a bit of a novice with putting together looks, I thought J.W. would help expand my horizons. With that said, I wore Jealousy Wakes on the lid and a bit on the crease (just touching the bone); MAC pigment Melon blended on the crease and on the rest of the eye; Lancome Definicils mascara in black. For foundation I wore the MAC Studio Moisture Tint in Dark; Prep + Prime eye in meduim dark for an e/s base. On the lips – MAC lipglass in Caqui and chestnut lipliner. Thanks again, Christine…:)

I was inspired to try this look that i saw in a magazine of Adele.
FACE: MAC tinted in light, Maybelline FIT ME face powder in 110, MUFE HD concealer
CHEEKS: MAC rose j’adore blush stick, MAC MSF in refined on top
LIPS: Revlon colorstay lipstick in soft rose toned down with NYX nude pink lipliner
EYES: UDPP, MAC goldbit all over lid up to browbone, all that glitters on upper lid, nocturnelle in outer corner up to crease but in a parallelogram shape, vanilla as highlight, purple dash eyeliner upper lash only and Hard candy mascara in purple.

I was test driving a Wet n Wild trio that was far too light. I went to Ulta just as an incidental trip as I wanted to purchase some UD liners. I got the combo pack with Whiskey and Flipside and a NYX shadow in Hunter Green. I lined with Whiskey top and bottom, smudged the top at the last third of the eye and placed the green on top of it. Look saved. I’ll have to remember that trick.

It’s a muggy summer, and a work week (IV rooms require minimal makeup!), so I tended toward faux nauturale. Moisturized skin, a little touch up around the eyes to hide dark circles, primer on the lids to make them look brighter, and a subtler mascara than my go-to Stiletto – I think it’s Covergirl (discontinued version). Every couple of days, I’ve been touching up the corners with a shimmery nude or bronze, but I’m otherwise going clean faced.

MAC Lingering on brows, MAC blacktrack liner slightly winged on the upper lashline, L’Oreal Voluminous mascara in black, UD Naked eyeshadow along lower lashline and MAC Viva Glam Gaga on the lips. Kept it simple.

Today’s EOTD – Chanel’s Illusion d’ombre in Ebloui all over lid, MAC’s Prance to highlight and Milani Liquif’eye eyeliner in black.

Also yesterday’s lips: Revlon Colorburst lipstick in Coral with MAC Lychee Luxe lipglass on top. Mega coral!!

Really loving a fresh light face this time of year – my skin is looking better than ever at 59. I am letting my hair go natural color that is an light to med ash blond that has it’s own highlights in it. I often put on just my brows (a must ever day)..and eye shadow base – a super light shade of shadow in a true natural, dash of light cheek color – maybe even just a highlight or radiance and tons of lip balm – using some of the tinted ones out now. Have to say that’s my fav look now – I even skip the mascara many days if I have my glasses on vs. contacts.

Did a Spanish Flamenco Dancer look for my blog lat night.. that was the highlight of the week ๐Ÿ™‚ Else rest of the week I ve flaunting my MAC cosmo and Nylon eye shadow to work ๐Ÿ™‚

I wore a very simple look this week. I chose UD’s half-truth for my lids. For the crease I decided to use a light neutral, pale brown-peach from a sephora set to just blend out the dark colour. I lined my upper lash line with black liquid liner and used lots of Lancome’s Hypnose black mascara on the lashes. I decided to use Lancome’s Juicy Tube in Cherie (sheer purply pink colour) on my lips.

I didn’t particularly love anything I did this week but the look that turned out the best was a look I did for move-in day.
It was just a simple wash of color with UD Smog, MAC Select Cover Up Concealer for dark under-eye circles, and MAC Nymphette Lipglass. It’s way too hot for any face powder of any sort. Would melt off my face within minutes.
