Disco Inferno

Terrible value, unless you like to do your nails every day. This has one day of wear before chipping. The formula is thin and the glitter drags, causing streaks and bubbles.

Flirt

Flirt is a deep and hot coral color that's perfect for summer. Like most Essie polishes, Flirt applies thinly, but it is buildable to an opaque color I get about 1 week of wear from it with some wear at the tips.

Shop Till I Drop is a sheer summer peach (more peach than coral) that can be used for French manicure. It goes on very sheer and thin, which can be a challenge for self-applicatiion to avoid pooling or streaking.

Warm toned brown that is terrific for a natural look and is very blendable, although it stays where it's put all day!! Easy to apply and does not tug, best applied in short strokes to get the most color deposit.

Super long wearing, this beige-pink is the highlight shade you need! It's easy to apply, but work quickly! Once this shadow sets, nothing will make it budge! Can be applied sparingly and smoothed out for a light kiss of shimmer with no color readily apparent, or built up to have a glimmery and sugary appearance. The beige-pink rocks equally well when used with purple as it is when used with brown..

Hello Autumn! This is the deep mahogany red that you want if you have light skin. It's smooth and non-cakey so it looks like a stain with a gloss over it, instead of a lipstick. The cylindrical tube makes application a breeze, and I don't have to worry about the lipstick breaking at the bottom, which seems to happen to me a lot with the MAC lipsticks in the bullet-shaped traditional tubes.

Hot pink in the way that can be worn by people with light skin and yellow undertones...finally! I so wanted to be part of the hot pink lip trend, but everything out there was so blue it washed me out and looked oddly fake. Pleasurefruit is a sexy watermelon pink that goes on sheer and is buildable. Wear, at 3 hours is a little short, but what you put on stays in place.

Made to Order

One of the Lady GaGa shades, Made To Order is a frosted mauve gold that would be a YLBB shade (your lips but better) if you lived in the world of the glitterati. On light skin it has enough color to not look washed out. Applies evenly and is buildable to become really golden-frosty. A little less moisturizing than the rest of the line.

Just missed the season to be wearing PLINK! -- a frosty, beachy beige-pink. Lots of light beige pinks can look pasty or washed out on light skin. Plink is pink enough to look rosy but with the sandy shimmer that's fun in summer lip palettes. Goes on evenly, is buildable for a light kiss natural look or a frosty lip big sunglasses, big hat look.

Sequin is a fun shade for going a little sparkly without being loud about it. It's a mid-toned pink that is a little to the mauve side, but has a gllittery sheen to it. Kind of a YLBB (your lips but better) shade with some bling. Applies evenly and is long-wearing, although it's a little less moisturizing than some of the other MAC cream shades.

Craving is a lot more plum than pink on my light toned skin. Goes on easily and has long wear with moisture. A terrific day-to-evening shade, and perfect transition to the deeper plums of the autumn palette..

Crosswires is a lovely blood-orange shade of coral that can show as a light orange-red on light skin tones. With a little bit of satiny shimmer, it rings as a summer wear tone for me. Easy to apply and with a little stain that takes me through 5-6 hours.

Brave is a creamy light mauve that for fair skin tones is a YLBB (your lips, but better) shade. Applies easily, is moisturizing, and lasts about 4 hours on me. Could easily be used as a base to other colored glosses.

Powder Blusher

I have the Illamasqua powder blusher in "Hussy" and it is an intense hot pink that is smooth and buildable. I have a really pale, warm complexion, so a little goes a long way for a daytime look, and at night I can build to a more dramatic look.
