I decided I need to clear out some of my 6-7 year old eyeshadow palettes (most of which dupe these colors), and I liked how it had most of the colors I like to use frequently. I think this is a great palette if you are trying to consolidate or if you have a small collection. If you have a dozen palettes, it does not offer anything new. I've only tried one look so far, but it's the first time in ages I enjoyed doing an eye look with more than two shades of eyeshadow. Temptalia's suggestion of using a flatter synthetic brush helps a lot with the matte creams. It takes a little patience, but I am really pleased with pigmentation and saturation of the mattes. You can apply some of the shimmers to the mattes if you want to make them more shimmery, it does give a few more options. The mattes stay put enough that you can layer them. I do wish that the colors were arranged more coherently, and that they either stuck with olive green or with teals/emeralds. I'm sure with experience I'll get used to the layout, but it would be nice to not /have/ to get used to the layout.
