I'd give all the Ellis Faas foundations 5* in terms of natural, impossible to detect coverage, very easy application and travel friendliness. The company is very good about sending samples, so you can try before you buy. Where I take off a star is the colour match! S104 is definitely a medium shade, not a light medium in my book. I used to wear it when I wasn't careful enough about SPF, and got a suntan despite my best efforts (now I use SPF 30 and up from the La Roche Posay range, and I don't tan any more). S104 is great if you have a medium complexion tending towards the olive or yellow end of the spectrum. It is buildable from light (one pass) to medium (two passes) and is still undetectable. Although all the Ellis Faas foundations come in a translucent glass bottle, with a bit of twisting, you can remove the glass bottle and all that's left is the inner plastic bag, which is hermetically sealed and collapses as you use up the foundation. You can use the foundation up to the last (expensive!) drop and not waste any this way. Also, it's more travel friendly - it's never leaked in my experience, even on airplanes - and you don't have to worry about shattering the glass bottle if you accidentally drop it.

Phytocernes 2 is a light-medium, (emphasis on the light) concealer that is great for gently concealing around the eye area. It has the slightest suggestion of a gleam, not at all frosted or pearly. I use it to hide hereditary (thanks, Dad!) dark circles, not just for the under-eye, but also the inner upper corner of the eye and the part of the lid closest to the inner corner. You'd be amazed by how much younger this more complete circular application makes you look (I'm in my mid 70s and can use all the help I can get). You look like you just had a great sleep, and woke up somewhere at some Alpine resort! It has no pink whatsoever, it is completely neutral, so I use it instead of the Ellis Faas concealer S103, which is too pink, and a tad more drying. I have been using it for a number of years, and don't think I'll ever be changing! 5***** Never leaks when travelling!

I've been using Ellis Faas Skin Veil foundation for about a decade and I just love it, don't use anything else. I have combination skin (although I'm old enough to be retired!), which is a bit oily in the T zone and normal elsewhere, including my neck (not that I wear foundation down there, but it's important that foundation be undetectable at the demarcation of the jaw line). Every once in a while I have a mild acne flareup in the mid-face, probably related to eating something with nuts or cocoa or their derivatives. On those days, Skin Veil provides light to medium coverage without looking heavy. When I stop the candy and chocolates for a couple of days :(( - my skin goes back to normal :)) I used to have a bit of rosacea as well, so the slight neutral to pink tone in the S103 was perfect, the foundation was undetectable when I wore it. Now my rosacea is under good control, and I wear their new colour S13WG, which is a better match for my olive skin. (S13 is still light medium, but has a Warm Golden undertone). The foundation just provides a more finished look (hence the Skin Veil) but is undetectable, because it melds perfectly with your skin. PS They have come out with a huge palette of colours for all skin tones, you should have a look! Best for dry, normal and slightly oily/combo skin.

Ellis Faas makes truly lovely foundations and concealers, 5/5 for texture and light coverage. However the foundation Skin Veil S203 is a light medium, with neutral undertones, while the matching concealer is quite a bit more pink so I can't use it. It's a shame because their concealer is very high quality. So I use Sisley concealer instead, and am very satisfied with it.
