shadows: Kat Von D’s Beethoven palette or Korres Dark Grey eyeshadow
cheeks and lip: light, subtle pink
Pinks and greys are my favorite together so when I wear this I use it on the lid with MAC Vex as a highlight and BB Cyber Grey in the crease for a pretty grey smokey eye. I use MAC Uniform Grey Powerpoint Liner witch I go over with UD Oil Slick shadow and Clinique High Definition mascara. Stila Bronzer 1 all over and Sue Devitt Belize cheeks. MAC Dervish lip liner, MAC Fabby lipstick and Clinique Airkiss gloss.
a smokey eye of course!
love pairing it with pink. All that glitters on highlight and lid, maybe a plum or fuchsia in the outer corner, and BRIGHT Show Orchid or Girl About town lips.
*listens* I’ve had this eyeshadow forever but have yet to use it
I’d love to see you do a face of the day with this Christina
sorry, meant Christine
Gunmetal is my favorite shade from the grey family that I own, so I would pair it with Carbon from MAC to smoke out the eye for an evening out and about
I love grey and green, surprisingly. I’d do a sheer bit of Juxt in the inner corner, an olive color like Golden Olive on the lid and Gunmetal in the crease and on the lower lashline. Gunmetal 24/7 liner on the upper lashline and black mascara. Bronzer on cheeks just as a contour and a peachy blush, then a sheer pink gloss, or maybe Angel lipstick.
i use gunmetal to create a blue/steel (lol) smoky eye.
eyes: i put gunmetal all over the lid, with mac deep truth in the center for a pop of color. then i use mac electra as a highlighter for the inner tear duct, and i use mac carbon to smoke it out at the corner. then l’oreal hip gel eyeliner in black for both the top lashline and waterline.
cheeks: something light pink with blue undertones, like thebalm’s down boy or mac well dressed
lips: simple, any light pink gloss or lipstick.
christine, do you have any suggestions for a brow highlight with the look i mentioned above? all my highlight colors have warmer/gold reflects. Also, I feel some of the silver eyeshadows I own look a bit dirty placed under my brow. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks.
Definitely Uzi from Urban Decay
I would use a shimmery charcoal grey cream shadow base to intensify the colour, and MAC Smolder Eye Kohl.
On cheeks, something light such as MAC Well Dressed blush, and a light pink lipgloss on the lips such as NARS Turkish Delight.
As a simple smoky eyeliner on the top lashline slightly winged out with a babydoll blush (Dior 829), highlighter on the cheekbones (Nars Albatross) and a neutral soft pink glossy lip (Nars Chihuahua or Chanel Rouge Coco Mademoiselle)
Here is a look I did recently inspired by Temptalia’s smoky eye with the Urban Decay Naked Palette

This looks so pretty!!!
Since I got this in the Urban Decay Naked Palette, I automatically paired it with Creep. They’re perfect together! I wear Gunmetal all over, with Creep in the outer third of the eye.
Then for the cheeks, I’d wear a very neutral/peach blush.
On the lips, I’d wear a simple sheer or light pink gloss, no lipstick.
Since the eye would be so heavy, I would go lighter and more natural on the rest of the face.
UD’s Sphynx all over (lash line to brow line) UD’s Ecstasy on lid, UD’s AC/DC on the outer corner and Gunmetal in the crease
I love gunmetal shades! Usually I smudge Stila’s Kajal liner in Onyx to my upper lash line with a pencil brush and set it with Gunmetal e/s to brighten that area and keep it smoky. I would then tightline, waterline with the stila kajal liner in onyx and lots of voluminous mascara. I probably would just keep my face simple with bronzer, a champagne highlight to brow bone and cheek bones. For the lips I would go for MAC’s girl about town lipstick with magenta lip liner from MAC as well for that fiery pink lip.
Im loving that one shadow on lid than a completely different color on the lower lashline look so i think this would work with that. This being all over the lid blended out and a soft gold on the lower lashes
Eyes: Gunmetal lightly on lid then pretty heavy underneath with smudged liner.
Cheeks: Harmony to contour
Lips: C-Thru Lipglass
I use it all over the lid and blend it out with MAC Pincurl or Vex or Silverthorn eyeshadows in the crease. I use a soft black eyeshadow (something with less pigmentation than Carbon, I usually use MAC’s Mont Black) to very softly smoke out the outer corner, and smudge along the upper lash line.
I then use MAC Shroom e/s mixed with Vanilla e/s as the highlight and in the tear duct area, line my waterline with a silvery grey e/l and smudge some more of the Gunmetal along the lower lash line. I then tightline with black eyeliner and apply mascara.
I love soft, irridescent pink lips and cheeks with grey eyeshadow looks so I on the cheeks I use Pretty Baby beauty powder and brush on a little Porcelain Pink or Petticoat (the pale pink bit) MSF over the top and on the lips I use Icescape lip gloss.
that charcoal is pretty , I think I need it.
shadows : i think that it would be cool with UD’s woodstock
cheeks: NARS multiple in palm beach
clear lip
I’ve used UD’s Mayem (purple) and I’ve also have used dark blues with it. Its a great smokey eye color.
