OH, man, I don’t have that one but I did a look with the Green one with the photo realism palette. I used the two darker colors and smoked it out with Carbon. I got so many compliments when I came to work. I plan on buying the true black, the mauve and if I an find Dirty, I plan on getting that too.

  2. Dirty all over the lid blended out with a 217 brush.
Sweet Sienna pigment over Dirty, and blended out. Pop a darker color in the crease/outer corner.
Undercurrent pearlglide on lower lash line.
    Nice dramatic black mascara

Peaches blush and Cha Cha lipglass!

I almost didn’t pick up Dirty, but I’m so glad I did because it’s turned out to be my favorite of the greasepaint sticks. My favorite look so far:

Dirty all over lid, blended out slightly with 252 brush
Hey eyeshadow (or All that Glitters would work as well) on inner half of lid and in the crease
Club eyeshadow on outer half and smoked out in the corners with 217
    Vanilla to highlight
Dirty applied on lower lashline with Club on top with 266
Black eyeliner on upper lashline and mascara to top it all off
I don’t remember exactly which products but I paired this with pink cheeks and lips

    Gorgeous!!

How convenient, I’m wearing it today.

This sounds way more complicated than it is. It’s actually a great way to do a work-safe smoky eye, since the effect isn’t overwhelming.

I put a smudgy line along the lashline of the upper eyelid and at the outside corner of the lower eyelid. Above it, I blended in Satin Taupe so that the colours went gradually from darker to lighter. Used Satin Taupe along the lower lashline as well, from about the centre all the way out. Then I used Patina over the ST and Dirty in the centre of the upper lid, so that it has a slight gold highlight. I put Sable in the crease, blended up from the Satin Taupe and used Dazzlelight to highlight under the brow. Complete with a thin line of kohl along both lashlines. Ta-da.

I combined it with a light application of Salsarose blush and Kumquat l/g on the lips. (The soft lip helps keep the look more toned down.)

I bought two of these i love this so much! i love woodwinked over it. i also put the NYX mocha pigment over dirty & used print to make it smokey. i used blankety & boy bait on my lips, i used stark naked on my cheeks.

I used this the other night as a base with satin taupe on the lid, smut in the crease and outer v (smoked out), shroom as a highlight, and teddy liner (smudged). I wore it with blush of youth beauty powder and dior skinshimmer in rose diamond on my cheeks, and subculture liner, hue and underage on my lips

I am using mine with Gazette Grey and Cut to Fit shadows.

  11. Jessi

I love it in a minimalist look: Dirty thickly applied on eyelid and smudged below the eye with a matte red lip and maybe a subtle shimmery highlighter on the cheeks.

Heck with greasepaint sticks…where is the pret a papier review?!?!

  13. Rita

I love Dirty! You can put most colours on it, greens, blues, browns. I have tried a couple of looks. The best one was a simple look with Dirty on lid as a base, Patina e/s over it and Arena e/s above them. I also lined the upper lids with Undercurrent Pearlglide. ‘Antique’ eyes!

  14. I used Dirty as a liner for a brown smokey eye :-) I used Smashbox Muse palette for the browns and Laura Mercier mascara.

  15. aisha

wow, i just tried it with woodwinked, and it does look amazing. thanks for the tip. :)

    • It’s one thing to enjoy shopping and to buy yourself makeup, but it’s quite another to get into $14,000 of debt because of it. Like anything, you have to live within your means and be able to, wait for it, stop if you need to.

But why does she only have 4 lip liners! C’mon!

Hey, Oprah… have you seen my stash……………. ;)

    Hi Christine,

I know this comment does not belong here but I missed your Ask Temptalia session as I was studying for exams all day and I have a quick question to ask you. The reason I am posting the question here is that I saw that you had written that all the questions had already been anwsered, so I thought maybe you were not going to anwser any more on that post.

Anyways, I have very fair skin with cool undertones, I wear MakeUp Forever’s HD foundation in #115. I also have warm brown eyes, and natural dark golden blonde/light brown hair. My everyday eyeshadows are Naked Lunch and Era, and I normally wear Dainty or Well Dressed blush.

    1. I was wondering what shade of pink lipstick and gloss you think would suit my colouring for an everyday look? (MAC or any other brands!)
    2. Do you think cool or warm pinks are better for my skin tone?

I really appreciate the hard work you put into this blog Christine, I frequently check back to see your updates! Temptalia is by far the most informative, professional, and easy to navigate beauty blog I have ever come across.

    • Hi Kathryn,

      Thank you so much! :)

1.) Try MAC Angel or Sweetie — really great pinks. For a gloss, Nymphette!! It’s slightly pink, but it also has this peachy shimmer. Super pretty.
2.) If you can wear Well Dressed often, you may be more on the neutral side, so both cool and warm tones are equally flattering :) Technically, though, if you have cooler skin, cooler pinks will work better.

  26. aradhana

copperplate on lid, showstopper or dark edge in crease and warming trend or all races on browbone — dirty in thick line along upper lashes, with a little extra in the outer corners.

  27. Bellcheria

I put it on my lid, a bit in the crease& corners. Than I use one bright color (think Sushi flower, Arena, Plum dressing) in the crease and Smut on my lower lashline. The only blushes I have right now are pink xD

  28. I did a look with Birds and Berries on the lid, Dirty in the crease, and Designer Purple to line the lower last line…amazing!

  29. Vickie

I used mac dirty greasepaint stick on the lid. Urban decay half baked eyeshadow on top of dirty. Blending it out with mac 224 toward the crease with revlon vintage lace as a highlight on the brow bone and inner tear duct. On lips mac petting pink lip conditioner paired with lady gaga lipstick on top.

Coral Crepe Paint Pot, Paradisco on lid.
Dirty Greasepaint as a liner on lower lash line & outer corner of upper lash line & smudged along lash line; up into crease & outer v
Mulch in the crease, Samoa silk lightly to blend, Brown Down to set lash line, Nylon or Ricepaper to highlight tear duct & brow
