  1. I love it with a bold lip and neutral eye.
I’ve been loving it with UD’s virgin on the lid, UD’s Naked in the crease and MAC’s Mystery in the outer v, with some thin winged out liner, and a then lipstick like Girl About Town on the lips.

If only I had briar rose…everything I wanted sold out before I got the chance to get my pay check. I still have yet to see anything come back on the website.

    • Have you checked every locale near you that carries MAC? Nordstrom’s by us sold out but the two Macy’s counters still had a fair share of product left even recently.

Have you tried looking at nordstroms.com? They had stuff too that didn’t sell out!

Hello, Nordstrom’s online still has Briar Rose for $25.00. I ordered it, and just now checked (Sunday a.m.), and they still have it.

I’ve been using this with lightly smoky gray eye looks (MAC’s Bough Grey and Knight shadows)! Beautiful! Dark gray or dark purple liner adds pizzazz! For the lip look I’ve been taking deep-toned lipsticks (Chanel Rouge Coco in Venise or Armani Lipsilk in 92) and patting them on with a fingertip for a suggestion of a dark lip that’s still day-friendly! Briar Rose makes a lovely accent for the cheekbones and a super-light sweep over the whole face makes me look awake in the morning! No easy feat! :)

I think that Briar would look great with a very soft neutral eye and with a soft pinky-purple lip gloss (like Revenge is Sweet) or with a bold red lip.

  5. I think this beauty powder pairs nicely with I Like It Like That lipstick (LE; In the Groove). Those two colors were made for each other, I think. Since I Like It Like That is a rather bold, unique color, I’d keep the eyes soft — maybe use colors like Sin and Buck from the Naked Palette.

i bought my briar rose yesterday and used it today for the first time.i didnt have much time for make up though so i went with easier products.on eyes mac-uniformly blue gps as eyeliner, her alter image shadow on lower lash line, lots of mascara, violetta on lips(no gloss) and of course briar rose.it may had been a way too pinkish-purplish look but hey,its maleficent! i was wearing completely black too:) on my nails? formidable!

  7. Anna

i have briar rose and i’ve been wearing it with my dark magic mineralize duo with devilishy stylish lipglass… soooo pretty!!

  8. Mamavalveeta03

I would pair it with Bobbi Brown Creamy lipcolor in “Rose Petal”, but how sheer is the powder? If it’s sheer, maybe a little blush by BB in “Desert Rose”, eyeshadow by Jouer in “Creme” and “Parfait” and tons of BB “Extreme Party” mascara in black. Kind of innocent and ethereal…

  9. Traci

I wore this yesterday with Her Alter Image and Vile Violet and Revenge is Sweet on lips! I love it and it is my new favorite blush. I have been wearing it with nude colors from my naked palette as well!

  10. To look like Aurora on
eyes =Blanc type highlighter, spring up lid, wedge crease with fig 1 in the corner.
    cheeks= briar rose and belightful
lips= cranberry lipliner, sweet and single barbie and baby sparks dazzleglass all from MAC!!

  11. margo

ANY LILAC BLUE SHADOW OR LIPSTICK/GLOSS

  12. Oh I just wore this yesterday :)
Eyes: UD EPP in Eden, Too Faced Pixie Pinups Palette Leading Lady on lid, I Know What Boys Want in crease, and Like a Virgin on brows, MAC VV Sweet Joy as Highlight, UD Flipside liner, and finally Benefit Bad Gal mascara.
Face: MAC Pro Longwear Foundation, UD Finishing Powder, MAC VV Briar Rose powder (of course), and Too Faced Candlight.
Lips: UD Buzzkill lipstick with MAC Resort Life gelee.

It was such a 60s inspired look with the UD liner and a pink sparklie lip yet still very neutral and work friendly. :D

I would make my eyes dramatic ie double winged eyeliner and thick black linger on the waterline. I would keep my lips simple and plump in posh it up. Pn top of the briar rose beauty powder I would brush over guerlain meteorites to give tge perfect glow and illusion of perfect skin

  14. Camilla

I am wearing it as a blush today with Dior 5 Designer eyeshadow palette in Amber Design, black liner and mascara and Clarins Instant Blush Magic Colour on the lips..

  15. Ana

Black smokey eyes and pink transparent lips. I love it =)

  16. Bree

I wore it with D&G Violet L/S, & blue brown pigment & black E/L on the lower lash line!!!

  17. lindsay

I use Briar rose as a blush, and i wear a pink lip (Viva Glam Gaga)

  18. Suzy

I used MUFE Aqua Cream in lavender for a base, with Beautiful Iris on the inner 1/3 and Indian Ink in the outer 2/3; Violet pigment in the crease, and just a touch of Top Hat on the outer v to deepen the look. BR on the cheeks, and I Like It Like That l/s on my lips. :)

I have been rocking this beauty powder with MAC Velvet lipstick and black liquid lined eyes. It really goes with a lot though!
