  1. Lovely lovely look! My favorite one was a dark green & purple smokey.

  2. Ahhh I wish I could wear blue and green with so much ease! It seems like I always have to combine a color color with a neutral to stay in my comfort zone!

This week my favorite look is done with Guerlain Bronze Ora on my eyes, Peach Boy on my cheeks, Corail Ora on my lips, and Terra Ora on my face/collar bones! This collection makes me feel like a million dollar with all the GOLD 😉

    Cheeks :

    Bella Bamba
    Dior cream blush in Capri
    Chanel JC Frivole

    Lips :

    M.A.C Sheer Seduction
    Chanel gloss in Savage Grace
Nars Satin Pencil in Palais Royal

    Eyes :

Chanel eyeshadow stylo ( the green and the blue ones ), Bourjois mascara in green/mint
I tried them without any other makeup product

I love Nars satin pencils, they are really gorgeous and so easy to apply, so long wearing. The Chanel eyeshadows are amazing, fresh on the lids.

  5. Very pretty on you Christine. So far Fins and Caspian Sea are my favorites – divine!

  6. MAC Quarry Eyeshadow patted over the Maybelline Color Tattoo cream eyeshadow in Tough as Taupe, paired with strong brows, long lashes (using Dior eyelash primer, an eyelash curler, and Modelco Extreme Fibre Lengthening Mascara), light contouring (Benefit Hoola) and a nude/terracotta mouth (Bite Beauty Luminous Lip Library, shade Rosette). Later in the day I switched over to a red-pink mouth (same lip palette, shade Carmenere).

  7. Mariella

Probably TooFace Heaven all over the lid, lashes to brown bone and Inglot 422 on the outer third and in the crease and blended so it faded into the light shade that is Heaven! GOSH Metallic Brass to lne and MAC Dainty blush on cheeks and my newest lipstick, Pink Berry from Clarins, on my lips.

I’ve been enjoying playing with eyeshadow lately and I went through all my eye shadows last week and listed them in a spreadsheet (not sure why TBH). But I have two problems: firstly I’m in my mid 40s and while my skin is good my eyelids are a bit wrinkly so anything with even the slightest shimmer magnifies that and secondly my eyelids get irritated after a few days of makeup and get sore and itchy followed by dry and flaky. Also all my eyeshadow is fairly old and I am avoiding products tested on animals so no new Clinique (my former go to brand), MAC, Nars, in fact you name it they test on animals! I use the PETA lists to find this out BTW.

Wow – I wonder how many shadows you have.
I’m a little older than you and have had sensitive eyes my entire life as well. With or without makeup, my eyes can feel scratchy. I use eyedrops daily. Mostly the individual doses of clear drops with no chemicals. But I also keep an eye whitener on hand for when I use makeup.

I disinfect my shadows, brushes and eyeliners before and after each use (I let it dry before using it). Even disinfecting only after use helps.

Also, I find that formulations that have come out in the last few years are much milder to my skin /eyes than older years. I agree that matte shadows work best, but with a good primer, I can use satins and mild shimmers on top lid but only the top lid. The same works for most metallics, but glitter is entirely out. Finally, even though mascara is supposed to last 3 months, I only use it on special occasions and toss it after 2 months.

It helps a lot but I do take a makeup break at least once a week.

LOL I have, on my spreadsheet list, 67 but there are a few dupes in different palettes. Mainly Clinique.

Disinfecting is a good idea – I wash the brushes but I should disinfect too.

Thanks for telling me what you do – I haven’t tried a primer so that is on the list of things to get! I work three days a week and the other four days I try to avoid makeup, or at least avoid eyeshadow.
