Feeling like I really have to start using some of the shadows I love but rarely wear, I used my Sephora Jumbo Pencil in Dark Taupe Shimmer on the outer corner of my lid with Naked Lunch on the inner half of my lid. I used UD Naked in the crease and the light shade from my Bare Minerals “The Escape” duo to highlight. Mac Matchmaster foundation set with my new Nars pressed setting powder. MAC Desert Rose blush and Brick-o-la lipstick. I think I’ll wear this combo tonight to the Easter Vigil and my daughter’s confirmation but I’ll probably replace the MAC foundation with my Clarins Skin Illusion.

  5. Anne

    You look especially lovely, Christine!

For my favourite look, I used the greyish taupe of Chanel Prelude in the crease, the light pink of Chanel Harmonie du Soir all over the lid, UD Virgin on the browbone, a black pencil to line my upper lash line, and Chanel Beryl on the waterline.
I also used a stick blush by Paul&Joe (the pink one from the cat collection), and Chanel Caprice gloss on the lips!

  6. Pretty look! My favorite look was probably yesterday’s look. Matte skin, rosy cheeks and soft green eyeshadow.

  7. Sara_BeauTime

Armani ETK palette # 10 looks so flawless on you. I think I have to check it out too :-)
My favorite look this week was using upcoming Chanel L’ete Papillon collection fresh effect eye shadow stick in Blue Bay together with vibrant blue mascara from the same collection. I loved the texture of those eye shadow sticks. I will be collecting them once they are released (can’t wait!). The look was completed by the greenish blue vibrant metallic nail polish in Azur, here I posted it in twitter:

My favorite look I wore yesterday. Prime with Osmotics Inner Light, a dusting of Alima Color Balancing powder in Pistachio (struggling with rosacea flare and this green powder is the first green powder color correction that’s worked for me.) Next Nip+Fab CC cream in Light, finished with Purely Cosmetics Diamond Perfect Finish…just a light dusting. Okay, this is sounding like a lot but it went on fast. Anastasia brow pen in Universal Light on brows. Around my entire eye I patted on Love Hues mineral shadow in The Girl Glows. Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in Black Tulip on waterline. For my lashes I first applied Diorshow Maximizer Lash Plumping Serum, first time I used it, followed by L’Oreal Collagen Power Volume Mascara. And finally…Perricone Lip Plumper followed by Le Metier De Beaute lip gloss in Cannes. lol I hadn’t realized how extensive this list was…all this to look light and glowy. I am fair, and with rosacea, I sometimes look like a flashing red light bulp walking around when I don’t wear makeup.

  9. I rediscovered my love of MAC club with a wash on the eyelid and into the crease paired with an eye lined in the navy shade from the Dior Watery Look using a pencil brush and then topped it all off with Laura Mercier gel liner in Indigo on the upper lash line only. It did wonders for my green hazel eyes.

  10. I’m not even the biggest fan of the MAC Lipglass formula, but Ablaze makes me want to throw all the caution in the wind! Such a lovely shade!

This week my favorite look is done with NARS Lodhi! I kept my eyes simple with Burberry Pale Barley and Bobbi Brown Wheat (my go-to when I’m lazy, but it works so well), and a bit of blush (I think I used Chanel Rose Initiale because I was doing face shots for multiple lip products. Otherwise I would have gone for something coral on my cheeks as well) later, I busted Lodhi out! Love the shade and the formula so much, but I’m too worried about it melting on me in summer to purchase a whole bunch straight away!

  17. Liz

I haven’t really worn much makeup this past week. The most I did was mascara, lipstick, and blush. You look nice though.

  18. Marina

MAC All That Glitters (lid), Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in Ébloui (outer lid, crease), MAC Blanc Type (browbone)
I was trying to find new ways to wear Ébloui and this came out really well!
NARS Velvet Gloss Lip Pencil in New Lover
In an attempt to fight my wish for the new Satin lip pencils, I’m using my 2 Gloss lip pencils more!
Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip and Cheek color in Pink Truffle (very neutral & longlasting)

    • Marina

Oops! Forgot to mention I wore Benefit They’re Real Mascara and I chose not to wear eyeliner with this look.

  19. My favourite look this week was actually one I did at the beginning of the week. It’s sort of basic and not terribly interesting (am I selling this or what??), but I’m kinda proud because I did it with a kitten crawling over me.

I used products from Rouge Bunny Rouge, Le Metier de Beaute and Armani on the eyes. (I finally replaced my beloved Lust Red EtK, which went missing months ago.) I went for a sort of sort pinkish-taupe look, which is kind of my version of a neutral-with-a-twist eye.

On my cheeks, I used Hourglass Mood Light, which is too deep/ pink on me to work as ann all-over powder, but works great as a blush/ powder on my cheeks. I used Guerlain Parure de Nuit as a little more of a highlight along my cheekbones and Chanel Notorious to contour. I love how the combination of these products works together. None of them look like a traditional blush, but it still looks very finished.

I went with one of my all-time favourites, Tom Ford Black Orchid on the lips. I know it’s more of a Fall colour, but there’s still snow everywhere around here and I love me a deep lip.

I love the look of the Armani quad on you, Christine and I’m really curious to know your thoughts. I saw the new ones in store this week and I find the pigmentation seems better than the original ones (which I still liked).

    • Oops… Hope you don’t mind the additional post… You can see photos and a more detailed description of the look I did here:

      • Anne

Black Orchid looks fantastic on you! I was wondering whether to put it on my wishlist (for a distant future, but still), but the reviews on the internet seem to be rather mixed. How do you find the quality?

        • Thank you!! I have one of the original “white packaging” lipsticks, which is very good, but a little dry. I find that the newer lipsticks in the dark brown packaging were reformulated just slightly to make them easier to wear. Definitely one of the most pigmented formulas out there.

  20. TLC

My simplest look was probably my favourite: I lined my upper lids with black eyeliner, lower waterline area with UD radium (blue) and used lot of mascara. My lips were the show: MAC’s Girl Around Town. I love this lipstick!

  21. Melissa

My favourite look of the week is probably

Face: Estee Lauder Double wear, MAC MSF Light Plus, Benefit Hoola bronzer, MAC MSF Soft and Gentle
Eyes: MAC goldmine (id) MAC wedge (crease) Clinique cream liner in black (liner on top) smashbox peacock liner (bottom lash and waterline) Clinique High Impact mascara (one coat) Benefit they’re real (one coat)

Lips: Clinique chubby stick Mighty Mamosia

  22. Sandra JT

    1) Bobbi Brown Longwear foundation in Beige or Monave’s loose mineral foundation/concealer in the shade Sandra
    2) Kryolan blush in R19 (beautiful peach shade) or Esteé Lauder Peach Nuance (absolutely beautiful peachy-pink shade)
    3) Stila Color Balm Lipstick in Gabrielle (gorgeous nude pink)
    4) Milani Infinite Liquid Liner in 06/Unlimited (very deep brown-black) or Kryolan’s cream liner in Lapis Lazuli (very deep blue-black)
    5) Lancôme Cils Booster XL mascara base (lash primer that’s a lot better than I ever expected)
    6) Diorshow Extase mascara in 090 (jet black – LOVE this product; the only non waterproof mascara I’ve used that NEVER flakes, smears or smudges. It also makes my lashes look amazing) or L’oreal Voluminous Carbon Black mascara (amazing waterproof formula that stays put all day & night; absolutely charcoal black)
    7) Fyrinnae matte bronzer in Medium for contouring & bronzing (best ever bronzer for a ridiculously small price; no orange tone to it AT ALL)
    8) Lotus Hi Def Finishing Powder in Daffodil (very slightly yellow toned) or Kett setting powder compact (both are phenomenal on oily skin, to set foundation & concealer &and to keep oil at bay nearly all day)
    9) Isomers Pore Refining Complex
    10) Isomers One 3000 moisturizer
    11) Isomers Moisture Mist with hyaluronic acid & minerals as a setting spray
    12) Kryolan Dermacolor Camouflage as a lipstick/gloss base/medium for blocking out my natural lip color (spectacular stuff for next to nothing)
    13) Stila Stay All Day eyeshadow trio in First Light (very difficult to work with but gorgeous shades) or Givenchy Ombres Regard 4 color eye palette in Khaki (stunning.over Color Tattoo Mossy Green)
    14) Maybelline Color Tattoo in Rich Mahogany (dead on dupe for MAC Constructavist) or Color Tattoo in Mossy Green (most beautiful shade of green cream shadow I’ve ever seen)
    15) Esteé Lauder Double Wear Concealer in Medium (just as spot concealer if needed)
    16) MAC Pearlmatte Face Powder in Flatter me (pinky-peach) or Lise Watier Glamour Rose Illuminating Face & Body Powder (nude toned) OR Milani Illuminating Face Powder in Amber Nectar (peachy-nude)

Believe it or not, the majority of these products can all be used at the same time and not look overdone. Obviously not both eye palettes & cream shadows at the same time, or all the illuminators at the same time. One or the other from each category. Just gotta apply lightly, use proper brushes & blend well.

Loving this Bobbi Brown foundation on my oily skin. It lasts all day, even on warmer days, with very little oil slick happening. I might blot once during the day. No need to powder again. And it matches my skin tone perfectly.
