What we're Wearing

My favorite look this week was… On eyes: NARS Etrusque, NARS Isolde, and NARS Mekong Eyeshadows, Urban Decay Honey Eyeliner (with NARS Etrusque smudged over it).

My favorite of this week was a look I created with Guerlain Coup de Foudre (I posted that in twitter as @Sara_beauTime)
I am also fond of Suqqu spring collection. I posted a look with Ex-11 but it is very difficult to capture the duo chrome effect on the camera :-)

My look this week (the only one I think I did)

    Eyes: TTSI
MAC Amber lights on lid just to crease and super blended, also under lower lashes
UD Foxy to blend edges and taken right up to under brow (Foxy is really close to skin for me so its’ hardly noticable)
Kat Von D – Agatha pink blended into crease to soften Amber Lights
Avon super pale seagreen to highlight inner corners and inner lower lashline
GOSH waterproof liner – a pale pastel celery green, on waterline

Cheeks: Tarte cheekstain in Flower Child (LE)

Lips: Avon Shine Attract lipstick in Enliven

  3. Great pick, I love these colors on you! My favorite look of the week is the one I wore yesterday: e.l.f’s Socialite eyeshadow with a touch of Outdoorsy.

I’ve been having way too much fun with the Jasmine Storylook palette. I’m kicking myself for passing on the Cinderella one! I loved Lapis all over the lid with Blue Oasis blended all through the crease. I like these “reverse” smokey eyes because my eyes are SO light I need a dark contrast color on the lid. I used Hourglass calligraphy liner to add some ’60’s wings and wore Stripdown liner with Peachstock. I like to climb into my cosmetic TARDIS and borrow from different eras- I’m not really a “modern” girl.

Damn, I’ve been eyeing Isolde for ever. It looks awesome.

My favourite look was Chanel Ballet Russe (it’s such a lovely colour, even though it’s too dark for me to wear on a daily basis) on the lips as a stain and on the cheeks. I was pleasantly surprised by the result, I may have to find a blush that has a similar effect. If I recall, I wore the light pink of Chanel Harmonie du Soir in the inner corner, the taupe in the middle of the lid, and the reddish plum in the outer corner. Once again, thank you for your advice, Christine- I love this quad so much!

    My interview makeup!

Eyes: Mac Painterly on lid, Clinique Colour Surge eyeshadow in Daybreak all over and under brow, Maybelline Great Lash mascara
    Face: Bare Minerals Original Foundation
Cheeks: Estee Lauder Sensuous Rose Pure Color Blush
Lips: Clear Hills Honey Chapstick in Chai Tea (best chapstick ever!!)

This is a great look Chris!

    Face: Benefit Porefessional, Chanel Mat Lumiere, MAC MSF Natural, Tarte Blissful, Benefit Watts up;

Eyes: Laura Mecier eye basics/base in wheat, Chanel Emerveile Ilussion D’ombré,Crave from UD Naked Basics, Mac blacktrack and Givenchy Coulture Noir.

Lips: Clinique Chubby stick in heaping hazelnut.

I got Nars Lhasa this week and I’ve been wearing it to death, I love it so much. I wore it all over the lid with MAC Indian Ink in the crease and other days, I wore it all on its own – lid and crease – with MAC Vapour as a highlight. I also wore it with an Inglot matte grey-taupe shadow (I can’t recall the #) in the crease – again, perfect. It is such a great eye shadow for me. A bit of black liner and my eyes are done and look very pretty.

  9. My favourite look this week was a sort of neutral look with a very cheap dupe of the Naked 1 palette. By far. I’ve worn it three days straight! And that coming from someone who’s usually wearing colour and different looks everyday 😀 I did a tutorial on it too.

    Mostly simple looks :

    – The new Hypnôse palette ( in Fraîcheur Rosée ), just great !
    – Chanel Tumulte + Chanel Rouge Coco in Caractère
    – M.A.C Veronica blush + M.A.C Hot Chocolate.I also tried Ronnie Red, what a gorgeous red ! + Bobbi Brown blush in Nude Pink
Mascara : Chanel Le Volume in purple ( good )
On my toes : A Kiko matte nail polish, tomorrow a new pedi maybe with an Essie spring collection polish, we’ll see !

  11. Eyes: NYX Salmon Pearl e/s (lid), Stila Twig e/s (outer v), Two Cosmetics Serendipity e/s (browbone), Essence Black gel liner, Jordana mascara,

    Cheeks: WnW Mellow Wine.

Lips: NYX Hope lightly applied, Revlon Lip Butter in Sugar Plum (smudged over Hope). I love this combo!

You should really wear a liner on top to balance the look out. I know you’ve said you are ‘allergic’ to liner on the top, but you could always line with an eyeshadow. :)

    • I’ve tried that, but it hasn’t worked out for me – sorry you don’t like it! I actually wear my eyeshadow, in general, slightly above the upper lash line because of how my lash line behaves! My guess is it’s just sensitive to bristles/movement/stuff on it, since so much causes the area to react/flare up. If you like the look, add liner if you replicate it!

  13. Liz

    My favorite look was..

Eyes: Nars Grand Palais duo, Bobbi Brown long-wear eye pencil in smoke, L’oreal Shocking Extensions mascara, and Benefit high brown pencil under brow bone.

Face: BB Skin Foundation and loose powder, Revlon photo-ready primer, BB shimmer brick in bronze for a highlighter.

Cheeks: BB Tawny and BB Bronzer to contour

    Lips: BB Brownie Pink

  14. Veronica

I used Pixiwoo’s tutorial for Amanda Seyfried’s Oscar makeup ( I had to alter it a bit for my hooded eye shape and for what shades I had on hand, but I really enjoyed the way it came out.

Eyes: Urban Decay Aura on the inner lid, Tarina Tarantino plum shade (Fantastical Jewel palette) on outer half of lid, Urban Decay Tornado on the outside and swept in a \ / shape on each side for a smoky effect, Too Faced In the Buff on the brow. MAC Blacktrack for tightlining (though sadly, I found even gel liner can’t stand the test of my waterline as the night progressed). Maybelline Stiletto on the lashes.

Face: Dior Diorskin Nude foundation (testing a sample from Nordstrom’s…I think I’m in love), Boots No. 7 blush in Rose on cheeks, NARS Copacabana for highlighting, and Guerlain Meteorites and Teint Rose all over.

Lips: Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake

  15. I keep thinking I need NARS Etrusque, and seeing it again here doesn’t help!

This week my favorite look features Tom Ford True Coral! I kept everything else light and simple. On my lids I have Burberry pale Barley, Bobbi Brown Wheat, and on my cheeks I have MAC Fiery Impact In Extra Dimension Blush:

    Hi Christine,

I usually love the looks that MAC artists create and the way they combine different products. They are often too busy to demonstrate how they created the look. I was wondering if you could show us how to create a few?

  17. Nicole

Because of the weather (snowing for 3 days) and allergies I just wore my Nars Sheer Glow foundation and Powder.

  18. Paloma Smith

Are there any dupes to the products you used? Gorgeous!
