On the cheeks : Benefit Dandelion, Benefit Hervana, Dior Blush in ” Rose Dragée ” to get the palest complexion ever
On my lips : bold lipsticks ! M.A.C ” Such Flare ” what a gorgeous red indeed, Burberry Velvet in ” Military Red ” the most beautiful classy red ever in my opinion, M.A.C ” Scarlet Ibis ” many women asked me about this lipstick in fact, I was surprised at this ! It’s a gorgeous shade but I am not so used to wearing orange/red shades
On my eyes : Chanel ” Harmonie du Soir ” or Kiko ” Mystic Grey ” quad, so it was a light makeup on my eyes as I focused on the lips.
On my toes : I changed my pedicure yesterday, I tried Nars ” New York Dolls ” a pretty deep violet shade, classy and very wearable.

  3. Nice, that color-combination!

This week I made a real winter-look, with dark colors. A dark anthracite eye, combined with a plum lip. http://www.emmawessels.nl/looks/gothic-romance/

I decided to break out and polish the Family Silver! Honestly, I haven’t used MAC’s Family Silver MES in ages. It is such a beautiful object to look at in the pan but applied, it’s not really the most pigmented and the light side is too shimmery for a brow highlight. But it really is an object of beauty! Anyway, I applied the darker shade over a base of Sephora’s Dark Taupe Shimmer jumbo pencil (it’s a shadow or a liner) on my lids and into my crease. I darkened the crease a bit with Gazette Grey and used Brule as a browbone highlight and put a bit of the lighter silvery white side of Family Silver onto my tear duct area. Black pencil liner smudged along my lashes. Marcelle BB cream on my face with MAC Desert Rose cheeks and Revlon Cherry Tart Lip Butter (I am surprised by how long lasting both Cherry Tart and Red Velvet are on me…even when they’ve worn off, they leave behind a nicely pigmented bit of stain).

I don’t know that I’ll bother with Family Silver all that often. It really takes more time than I usually have in order to get it to show up…it’s a lot of work to get much in the way of colour payoff.

  16. Love the look! Especially that gold shadow.

I got a mini-makeover at Sephora this week, and the look was really pretty.
Face: NARS Tinted Moisturizer in Finland
Eyes: Too Faced Romantic Eyes palette (used Soulmates, Bouquet Toss, Cut the Cake, Honeymoon, and First Dance)
Eyeliner: Stila Stay All Day Liquid Eyeliner
Cheeks: Smashbox Fusion Softlights in Baked Starburst
Lips: YSL Rouge Volupte in Sensual Silk/ Laura Mercier Lip Glace in Pink Diamond.

  17. Ohhhh, that is so soft and pretty.

I have not worn much makeup this week, and when I did I went with something very simple like Maybelline CT in Barely Branded all over the lid with a little liner and a ton of mascara… but yesterday I pulled out the MUA Undressed palette (a very close dupe to UD naked)for the first time to play with and did a lovely medium blue smokey eye with the dupe for gunmetal all over the lid, the one for naked in the crease, and the one for virgin as highlight.. navy blue liner TL/WL. Maybelline 24hr lipcolor in Petal, a light shimmer MLBB pink. It was really pretty and wearable. The palette was very nice, good pigmentation and shadow quality.. the “virgin” dupe was a touch chalky, but nothing terrible.

  19. Beautiful look! I can’t get over how perfectly manicured your brows are.

I think my favourite look this week is the one I’m wearing today, actually. Mac Mothbrown and Innuendo over my lids with Marcelle Champagne Bubble as a highlight and Unflappable Mega Metal shadow in the crease. I lined my eyes with UD Underground and a darker brown liner from Sephora on the water lines and used Korres mascara (my new go-to “natural” mascara.

I wanted an intense lip, so I went with Estee Lauder “Black Cassis” lipstick and Nars “Amour” as a blush. I also dusted Bobbi Brown’s “Porcelain Pearl” brightening/ highlighting/ setting powder over most of my face. I’ve been playing with that powder all week.

  20. Nicole

Face: Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, Armani Blush No 5
Eye: Nars Primer, Armani ETK Silk No 9, MAC Opulash
Lips: Armani Sheer Lip Stick 600 or MAC Shy Girl

I’ve been working a ton, so my favorite has been the easy neutral look I’ve been doing for work with the UD Naked Basics palette. Super quick and easy.

Eyes- Nars primer, Maybelline Barely Beige color tattoo all over, then from the UD Naked Basics palette: Naked 2 in the crease, Faint on the outer half on the crease and lid, Crave on the outer V, Venus as browbone/inner corner highlight. Black liner on the inner rims, black liquid liner slightly winged out on the top lid, Naked2, Faint, and Tease under the lower lashline. Lots of mascara, MAC Charcoal Brown on my brows.

Lips- Usually nude- NYX Pumpkin Pie with philosophy Birthday Cake gloss on top. Today I did a pink lip by mixing a drop of OCC NSFW Lip Tar with two or three drops of Melange.

Christine, what mascara do you use? Do you use just one mascara for the upper and lower lash or do you use different types/kinds of mascara? I’m just wondering because for some reason I just keep on staring at your lashes in this photo! Maybe lashes envy? I have short stubby lashes and yours look wonderful.
