This week I finally purchased Après Chic and Haute Altitude, I tried Haute Altitude + Rose Initiale fresh and lovely lipstick, I love it.
I also tried the very first Rouge G l’Extrait I purchased, very bold colour and name ( Luxure ! ) beautiful pigments and so long-wearing ( To remove it I really needed a waterproof eye makeup remover ! ). On the eyes a Kiko quad from the Lavish Oriental collection ( fall 2012 ) On my toes Essie Skirting the Issue, pretty nail polish very flattering for each season.

Favourite look for me this week (which was a busy one with all the kids home and lots of to-ing and fro-ing with family and friends) was a quick and easy one. MAC Sweet Satisfaction on my lids, Havana in the Crease and on the outer lid, Sephora Taupe pencil to like (I think it’s Shimmering Taupe or Taupe Glitter-something like that). MAC Frankly Scarlet on my cheeks and New York Apple on my lips. It all looked polish and pretty.

  3. I need more bareMinerals in my life! That quad looks amazing!

This week my favorite look is the one I did with Dior Cherie Bow Rose Poudre palette. I used the taupe-y gray all over my lids, the grayish brown in my outer third, and the icy pink for my inner corners. I lined my eyes with the liner in the palette, slicked some of the gloss on my lips, and applied Diorblush Pink Happiness on my cheeks!

Pretty. When I saw this eye look I thought it would’ve been MAC’s Colour Added quad. The colors look similar.

I think my NYE look was my favorite. I used a black liner as a base for UD’s Loaded on my lid then I put MAC Femme Noir in the crease and used MAC Soft Brown as my transition shade. I placed black liner on my water line; UD Clinic went under my eye pretty far down because I wanted it peeking out from MAC Emerald Green Pigment, and then right between the lower lashes was Femme Noir smudged with the black liner that was falling down. I sheerly applied a cream color highlight on my brow bone, and I put Diamond LORAC 3D Liquid Lustre where I’d put my tearduct area highlight faded that in so most of the glitter was on the inner part, but then slowly diffused out til the start of my iris. Put a little MAC Emerald Green Glitter on the lower lashline over the Emerald Green Pigment. Added demi wispies over mascara coated lashes, and then I was done.

My favorite “normal” look of the week was a LORAC Pro Palette look with the shadows Cream (Brow bone), Nude (Inner corner highlight), Champagne (Lid), Sable (Crease), Taupe (Blending/Transition), and Espresso (Outer V/Outer Crease). Too Faced Perfect Espresso to tightline, Bobbi Brown Caviar Ink, MAC NC15/NW20 Chromagraphic Pencil on waterline then curled lashes and added mascara.

  8. My favorite look this week was an eye look I did using the Hourglass Vol 6 eye palette. I used the matte cream shade as an under brow highlight, the pink shimmer shade allover the lid, then I took the navy shade on my outer V, under and under the eye. I used Hourglass waterproof bronzer in my eye crease which I really love because it’s kind of a terracotta shade and it just warms up a lot of eye looks. Simple, easy and really pretty.

My favorite this week was from the Too Faced Natural at Night palette. I wore Full Moon on the inner half of my lid with After Hours on the outer half, and then patted Nightcap (glitter city) in the middle of my lid. I wore Nightcap in the crease and a mix of Cocoa Star and Eclipse on the outer corner and on my lower lashline. I used Urban Decay Junkie eyeliner on my lower waterline and L’Oreal Bronze 24 hour lacquer liner on my top lashline. I used Mary Lou-manizer as a highlight on my inner tear duct and brow bone. It was so shimmery and pretty for a night out!

  10. I love this quad on you! So pretty :) I need to do a full look with just this quad.

My favorite look used 2 colors from that quad for a candy colored look at FutureDerm. I used UD Peace on my lid, UD Woodstock in the crease, UD Flash in the lower crease and outer lid corner, bareMinerals Sensational at the inner v and Controversy at the lower lash line. I used Swagger Champagne in the Bubble Bath on the browbone and Swagger Rad Bitch under the eyebrows.

    Hi Christine,

I like your new ‘my favourite look this week’ feature. There has been a mix of fun and classy looks. Is there a link to this so that it’s easier to find ones done in the past? Could you please add one otherwise because the looks have been pretty inspirational so far. Thanks!

  12. Those colours look great on you! I’m always a little nervous of teal shades, because I find that they can make me look fatigued, but they certainly are wonderful with your skin and eye colour.

I think my favourite look this week was actually what I did for our little NYE get-together. I decided to do a “Tangerine Tango good bye face” using the Sephora Pantone Universe eye liner set that came out(and is now on sale). I did a very neutral eye with Rouge Bunny Rouge Bashful Flamingo, Chanel Tiger Lily and Inglot 352, but then added dramatic liner with Mac’s “On the Hunt” and the orange Sephora liner.

I combined that with a neutral cheek- Chanel Notorious and Nars Nico- and a bright orange lip courtesy of Givenchy Candide Tangerine. I figured I hadn’t done something really orange for a while and there was so much of it around this past year!

Other than that, I’ve just been trying to come up with looks that will allow me to get out of the house quickly when I have to go to work, because I’ve been sleepier than usual in the morning.

My mood drives what I do. Everything is de potted and I start grabbing for color. Lately I’m favoring unlikely pairings. Sin- UD on the inner corner (primer potion in sin because it doesn’t move), chartreuse like OMGWTF- Fyrinnae, then fade to dark blue- from UD on the outer crease. I could really care less about trends.

    very mermaid-kind eye makeup :)
