This week I mainly tried my Kiko haul ( a brand you don’t have in the US, budget but very good on the whole )
I tried 3 quads ( 1 not baked, 2 baked ) with Benefit Bad Gal mascara. Each time it was pretty and subtle, I love their quads ! I tried their velvet lipsticks one true red and one deep berry. Maybe not so good as the Burberry Velvet but still good !
I used my Chanel blush Rose Initiale, my Bare Minerals ” The secret’s out ” and again a cream blush from Kiko almost as good as a M.A.C cremeblend, maybe even better !
I would not advise Kiko for mascaras, foundations or blushes ( regular blushes powder )or powders, for all 3 I prefer going high end.
On my toes I first put OPI The Spy who loved me, then a Kiko holographic polish ( not so pretty but long wearing ) and now I am currently wearing OPI Danke my Shiny Red which I love !

  2. My favorite look this week was a Heavy smokey eye with MAC Smolder eye kohl, MAC Romp eye shadow, MAC Ricepaper and black eye shadow from Sleek Bad Girl eye shadow palette. Paired this with contoured cheeks and a nude dusty peach lip ~

  3. Theses days I’m enjoying golden&plummy colours. One of the combinations:

  4. I like how 1PM looks on you (but I really really can’t buy MORE eyeliners haha)!

This week my favorite look is: Burberry Pale Barley on the inner half, Bobbi Brown Wheat to contour, Candlelight on the inner corners, Black Caviar over my lower lash line. Chanel Rose Initiale on my cheeks, Notorious for contouring, and Hourglass Icon lipstick!

Oh I love this look, Christine!

I used BareMinerals The Happy Place: I wore the peachy shade as a wash, the rose gold in the inner corner, the mauve shade in the crease, and the plum shade as a liner, over Chanel Le stylo in Grenat (which I also wore on the waterline). I had my Chanel Rouge Coco in Mademoiselle on the lips, and Chanel Paradoxal on my finger nails!

    Nice look, Christine.

I did a pretty nice look this week that got tons of compliments.

Eyes: UD Half Baked, Bobbi Brown Black Plum Longwear Eye pencil rimmed around my eyes, Bobbi Brown Extreme Lenthening mascara

Face and Cheeks: Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer, Bobbi Brown BB Cream, Coty Airspun Powder, Bobbi Brown Illuminating Bronzer in Bali Brown

Lips: L’oreal Le Balm in Caramel Comfort

  8. My favorite look was a very sultry smokey eye with an amazing red lip. My look broken down (and outfit) is here: http://dtan0914.blogspot.com/2012/11/rupauls-all-stars-drag-race-finale.html

Coppery browns and plums look so good on you!

My favorite look this week wasn’t my own but my roommate’s. She asked me to do her makeup for her birthday party before I headed off to work tonight. She usually does very light looks if anything at all, so she asked for a “big, bold” look for tonight. I used a combination of my products and hers to give her a very colorful makeover. :D

Face: Sephora Illuminating primer, Tarte Amazonian Clay Foundation (Tan?) applied with a brush then buffed out, Too Faced Absolutely Invisible Transluscent pressed powder to set, Rimmel Natural matte bronzer dusted lightly over the entire face (to warm her up), Bobbi Brown Nude Pink blush applied gently to her cheeks (very beatifully subtle on her darker skin!), NARS Albatross highlighter applied to cheekbones and highlight points

Eyes: (Note: I used Urban Decay’s Deluxe palette for most of this look.) UD Peace on the inner part of the lid, UD Fishnet in the middle, UD Ransom on the outer corner and blended out into the edge of the eye, UD Underground on the crease, UD Scratch on the inner corner, Milani Pearl powder eyeshadow on the brow, Estee Lauder Blackened Plum eyeliner smudged out on the lower lash line and water line.

    Lips: Nothing!

After wearing quite ‘full’ looks I went for something a bit lighter and quicker today
Body Shop BB Cream in Light (01) with Lush Emotional Brilliance Powder
Mac Twig Lipstick, well blotted (My current MLBB)
Mac Eye Brows in Lingering with Mac Brow Set in Clear
Mac Moth Brown eye shadow lightly on outsides of lids and crease, Clinique Quickliner in Black very fine on top lid and smudged at outer corner, Black Mascara (not sure who’s Chanel I think) All kept light.
    No Blusher

On the whole I liked the look, it was light but enhancing and not a ‘No Make up’ look.

MAC did some sparkly Fluidlines for Holiday; but they work most spectacularly as a creme eyeshadow. Indestructable! I’ve been putting Catch My Eye on with a finger – the MAC girls told me no brush and they’re right. No primer either. Tons of glitter and no fall out! Blend the edges with another pinkie, line of Blacktrack and mascara, looks fantastic! I keep hearing what lovely eyes I have. Simple really works here.

  12. Smokey navy eye using BareMinerals Ready Duo in The Last Call, with Revlon Lipbutter in Cupcake on lips. LOVED it.

Currently trying to make up my mind how I want to do my makeup for my Christmas party. I’m wearing a black chinese style dress with a red and gold pattern, and I’m tempted to do a red lip with a gold eye… but it seems too matchy!

I’ve been liking golden colors lately.
Peach Sake BB cream from Skinfood
    Bare Minerals Mineral Veil Powder
    Urban Decay Primer Potion
Urban Decay 24/7 Pencil in Lucky; lower eyelid, blend out as lid base
MAC Woodwinked Eyeshadow; all over lower lid
MAC Typographic Eyeshadow; for outer crease
MAC Shroom Eyeshadow as brow highlight
MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack for winged eyeliner
    Shisiedo Eyelash Curler
    Urban Decay Canonball Mascara
Revlon lip butter in peach parfait

  14. Hi Christine, copper and burgundy really look good on you!
I have been trying to make teal and rust work together this week:

    I was quite a challenge! :-)

Maybelline color tattoo in mossy green, topped with Black Radiance duo in island/oasis, and WnW brulee as highlight.

It’s been a Guerlain Week… I love the new Guerlain Parure de Lumiere Foundation in 02! It’s perfect, and it has SPF 25!
Then Diorskin Pressed Powder, on eyes Guerlain Les Bois de Rose, Lancome Artliner and Doll Eyes Mascara. On Cheeks Guerlain Golden High and on Lips Dior Grège.

My favorite look this week was actually inspired by a look xsparkage did using the Naked Basics palette. I don’t have that palette so I used a few I do own to recreate it. I tried to use shades that looked similar enough but were also flattering (since some of those shades would probably be too pale on my skintone).

Benefit The Porefessional (I recently got this free from Sephora, and so far I’m really liking it!)
UD Naked Skin foundation in 4.0
    Benefit Hervana blush
Highlight: UD Virgin; Lid: I used both the browbone and eyelid shade from WnW’s Drinking a Glass of Shine; Crease: I used UD Naked first but decided it wasn’t dark enough so I layered theBalm Sultry over it; Outer Crease: MAC Espresso (I also used it on my brows); Outer V: theBalm Serious.
    Revlon Colorstay liquid liner
    Benefit They’re Real mascara
For lips I just used lip balm since my lips have been quite dry.

In my effort to use products that have been sitting and languishing (not because there is anything wrong with them but because I just have too much eye shadow) I used the TooFaced Smokey Eye palette (the newer one). “Cloves” on the lid and under my lower lashes, Up in Smoke in the crease and outer corner and WnW Brulee to highlight. MAC Desert Rose on my cheeks with a bit of By Candlelight buffed on my cheekbones and Lustering on my lips.
