This week : mainly a new Bare Minerals blush ” The Secret’s out ” ( very pretty shade ) + M.A.C Offshoot or M.A.C Glamour Daze. On the eyelids Lancôme Petit Trésor fil d’argent eyeshadow ( Holiday 2012 ) which I found amazingly good ( to me this eyeshadow deserves a A and the packaging is lovely. I am not a fan of Lancôme, quite the opposite but the eyeshadow trio is really pretty, 28 € each well not precisely cheap ! ) + Benefit They’re Real mascara. I also tried a simple palette Frontcover, budget and good ( 18 € ). On my toes, I wore Carine Roiteld Underfire red and now I am currently wearing Dior Marilyn. On my hands I tried Deborah Lippmann Mermaid’s Dream what a gorgeous nail polish but not very easy to remove ! I bought Essie Butler Please but I haven’t tried it yet, it’s so bright.

This is it ! And by the way I love your combination warm/cold colours on your lids, it’s subtle.

It was a toss-up between using TT’s Emerald Pretty or Bare Minerals The Star Treatment and Emerald Pretty won out. I really liked wearing Dandy Lion on the lid with Pretty Wicked in the crease and I used Stila Starlight as a highlighter and Gosh Metallic Brass to line. I used Dollymix on my cheeks and Revlon’s Red Velvet on my lips (gosh, I’d forgotten how nice that lip butter is).

I love Mainline! But I don’t need to buy the whole eyeliner set just for this color 😛 It looks great on you!

    That’s a lovely look, Christine!

I wore the peachy shade of the Chanel Eclosion Quad (an all-time favourite) all over the lid, and the plum shade in the crease. I added the silver shade of the Guerlain Les Nuits quad in the inner corner and under my lower lash-line as a liner. I think I wore Virgin in the Naked 1 palette as a highlighter, and I did a cat flick with a black MUFE Aquacream Liner. I used Chanel le stylo in Grenat on the water line. I wanted to be a bit fancy to meet my friends. :)
I also used a Chanel blush (the Joues Contrastes in Rose Initiale) and the Guerlain Cruel Gardenia as a highlighter. The finishing touch was a Chanel Rouge Allure in Evanescente!

  5. I love this on you! I am really lemming for Sparkle ’till Morning!

This week my favorite look is done with the Tarte holiday pencil set. I used Onyx on my upper and lower lash/waterline, smudging it out to create the base. I then put Ash Violet all over my lids and lower lash line, smudging the edges out so there is a natural gradient. A bit of Gold on the center of my lids later it was done! I love it because it’s such a quick and simple smokey eye, and there’s no need to even clean the brushes afterwards!

On my cheeks I had Estee Lauder Peach Passion, and Dior Incognito on my lips. I used to think Incognito washes me out, but it’s really because I wasn’t pairing it right! Now it’s pretty much my go-to nude!

Smash Box Full Effect mascara

Lips- Mac whirl lipliner filled in lips, L’Oreal Fairest Nude lipstick, Tarte maracuja lipgloss in Casey

I like the look on you, but the mascara doesn’t do much for you.

I did a pretty nice look last week when my husband and I went to dinner.
Eyes: BB Powder Pearl in Pink Pearl (from the holiday collection), MUFE Matte Eyeshadow #160 in crease, Benefit High Brow on brow bone, BB Twilight Night Gel liner, Lancome Hynose Star Mascara

Face: BB Creamy Concealer, MUFE HD foundation, Coty Airspun powder

Cheeks: BB Matte Bronzer in Deep, BB Blushed blush

It’s hard to choose just one but all week I’ve been fiddling around with my Shades of Nature palette from Sephora that I got on sale. It’s sold out now so I’m glad I grabbed it.

  11. I am deeply jealous of your ability to where shades of teal and aqua. They never look right on me… At least, never as ‘right’ as they do on you. By the way, are you considering going back to having full-face looks as part of your “What We’re Wearing” series? You eye close-ups are always excellent, but your whole face is lovely :-)

I’ve been playing around with my Nouvelle Vague kaleidoscope, trying to see how it works best and this week I came up with my favourite look to date. I used all four colours- Nouvelle on the inner half of the lid, Gamine on the outer half, Icon in the crease and Fin in the outer corners. I had to be so careful with Fin, which really is the blackest black ever. I lined my upper lash lines with UD Perversion (the only thing that could hold its ground against Fin).

Since I found the look DID seem really 1960s Paris, I sort of went for a Bardot-like look for the rest of my makeup. I used Chanel’s Notorious to give me some cheekbones and Nars Nico for a bit of a glow on the cheeks. I even dusted a little bit of Gamine on my cheeks for some added highlight. And on the lips I used a mix of Mac’s Life’s a Breeze and Naked lip liners with Playing Koi lipstick and Icescape lip gloss.

It was a more complicated look for me, but I was pretty happy with it. I also liked the fact that it held up really well all day.

You can see pictures of the whole thing (along with an extended blah-blah) here:

I’m really impresse by wet n wild lately and the reviews you have done ! It is tempting me to try the brand again.

My favorite look was matching my eyeshadow to a purple dress I wore this weekend. I used a 24/7 UD eye pencil then blended it out with a softer purple shadow :) It looked great without beig that bold.

I love these what we’re wearing posts.
    Today I’m wearing
Mufe aqua cream 12 on the lid and 3 in outer corner as bases. I put too faced copper peony on the lid, label wherein the outer v and crease, blended out with teddy bear, in the buff as a brow highlight, peach fuzz in the inner corner. I smudged out lorac’s brown pencil liner in the upper lashline and topped it with too faced lovey dovey. Put a black liner in the waterline and topped with label whore as well to set it.
On my cheeks I put too faced coco rose, contoured with chocolate soleil, and highlighted with candlelight glow
For lips I did Clinique rose aglow and lorac’s lipgloss in rosé for a rosy mauve lip.
I was really happy with the finished look.
