  1. Harmonie de soir is looking ever so much like the Guerlain holiday palette. I love how you have paired this look with a gold eyeliner, Christine! It gives it a nice POW! I nabbed this d/c eyeliner off eBay. Yippee.

Me, just messed around with a few looks more dramatic and bright than I normally wear:

    and Burple! :

    This week

On my cheeks : Nars Amour, Chanel Plum Attraction and M.A.C Rosy Outlook which I love ( you rated it D or F, I don’t understand why Christine, to me it’s really the perfect blush ! )
On my lips : Chanel Rouge Coco in Chintz and in Gardenia, Nars Joyous Red ( with Amour blush ).
On my eyelids : a Sephora palette and 2 Kiko palettes ( the brand is available here in Europe but in the US ? It’s a budget brand with high quality eyeshadows comparable to high end products really. The palettes I used : Sensuous burgundy and astonishing Emerald, both are quads ).
On toes ( feet ) : Vampamsterdam from OPI and just now Plum the World from Sally Hansen.
As a perfume Guerlain Après l’Ondée for tonight.

    • Hi Dominique!

If you read the review, you can read my experience with it – color payoff problems along with really poor wear were the primary problems for me!

      • Dominique

Yes Christine, such a pity because the formula is good. It’s subjective in fact, except for the 1st big bounce shadows which were very bad indeed !
        have a lovely day !

  3. I love the eyeliner its really different and creative

  4. I can’t wait to see your review of the Chanel quad! I’m scared that I might want both that and the Guerlain holiday palettes :-O

My favourite look this week was the one I did for my birthday party: Armani Eyes to Kill in Obsidian Black Seaweed all over the lid and blended into the crease with Jealousy Wakes patted over the centre of the lid. I used Mac Dazzlelight as a highlight along the brow bone and to soften the edges of OBS and I smudged UD Perversion liner into my lashes to make a super-dark outline. On my cheeks, I used Mac Strada with Nars Nico on my cheekbones and went with a very neutral glossy lip- Gloss d’Armani in Greige from the Spring collection. Normally, I’d opt for a dark lip/ neutral eye, but for some reason I wanted to try something like a “smoky mermaid”, which actually worked pretty well.

    My favorite look this week:

MAC Blacktrack Paint Pot as a base. I concentrated it on the center of my lid then blended it softly in the inner/outer corners and up in the crease. I took a light silver/grey shadow from MAC (It was from the Chill Collection, and I can’t recall the name) and placed that in the inner lid then in the center I used UD Gunmetal and Creep then deepened the outer corner with UD Blackout. In the crease I used MAC Prussian for a pop of blue then used MAC Soft Brown above the blue then I used MAC Vanilla (the eyeshadow) to highlight. I used Prussian again on the lower lashline/lid. Applied a generous amount of mascara and some half lashes.

  6. Oh darn Christine, now I NEED that quad! NEED! It’s so pretty on you!

My taste has really changed for autumn! I used to lay more emphasis on my eyes, but now I tone them down to wear bolder lip shades. This week my favorite look is the lighter shade of Hourglass Dune on the inner half of my lids, a mixture of Bobbi Brown Wheat and Sable to contour, and Guerlain Envie Rouge G L’Extrait on my lips. I definitely want another one of two of those, and am in the process of deciding which one(s) to get!

  7. Nicoco Chanel

*sobbing at Honey* It’s so beautiful.

My favourite look was today’s! I’ve suddenly felt really against liquid foundations – which is GREAT when that’s all I have – and my skin’s been pretty good (for me), so I just wore Hello Flawless powder as a base, MSF in Light Year as a blush, and the Illusion D’Ombre in Epatant with lashings of mascara and UD’s Lip Therapy gloss.

This is the most natural make up look that’s ever been on my face, true story.

  8. Mariella

I did a nice smokey eye last week using Bare Escentuals Urban Nature as a base on the lid with MAC Gazette Grey (LE) overtop, and Patina to blend out into the crease and up toward the browbone. MAC Frankly Scarlet blush and Clarins Gloss Prodige in Raspberry.

  9. Laura

My favourite look was one I did yesterday.

Face: foundation, concealer, powder, blah blah blah. MAC Supercontinental blush.
Eyes: MAC Orb as a wash, Grain on the lid, Cork in the crease and on lower lash line. MAC Local Wares Fluidline on upper lash line. Mascara.
Lips: MAC Prep & Prime Lip, Brick lip liner, Diva lipstick.

It was a nice, bold vampy lip – very autumnal and it felt very glam! I wore it to the office in the day and to go out for cocktails in the evening :)

  10. Jay

I’ve been loving a simple face, more on the neutral end. On the eye, color tattoo in though as taupe, with inglots 402 on top, and NYX iced mocha pencil on the lower lash line, and some mascara. . For the cheeks I love either cargo’s the big easy or tarte exposed, and Mac’s boy bait on the lips.

  11. Liz

You can pull off looks that I never could, Christine.

Here’s my look for the week. I’m excited because I did a really bold lip, which I usually don’t do.

Face: Lancome La Base Pro, MUFE HD Foundation, Sephora Perfecting Concealer, Coty Airspun Powder

Cheeks: MAC Peaches and Physician’s Formula Mineral Glow Pearls in Beige

Eyes: Nars Alhambra Duo (the champagne color only), UD Barlust for a soft contour, UD Kinky under the brow, Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Caviar Ink on the Upper lashline only, Benefit Brow Zing to fill in brows, Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara

Lips: I filled in my lips completely with MAC Cherry lip pencil. Revlon Fire and Ice lipstick over th pencil.

  12. Brenda

the only look I can recall is what I put on to go to the in-laws for dinner! Stay at home mom doesn’t wear a lot of makeup anymore!

Meow Cosmetics mineral powder for base, as my skin is pretty good this week, MAC Soba to warm up the brows and slight structure and I used it as well along the upper lash line and lower lashes to add definition and fullness to the lashline. Two coats Almay thickening mascara and that’s all!! Very simple but I really like how just added warmth.

    medium golden brown hair/hazel eyes/MUFE face & body #32

I did one look for a wedding, but it wasn’t the best look I’ve ever done – Missha Perfect Cover BB cream (It’s okay; I want to play with it some more though), NARS Orgasm blush, and theBalm Insane Jane eyeshadow as a wash with a bit of Danielle for highlight. Hourglass Film Noir mascara, Burberry Claret lipstick. I meant to do eyeliner but forgot, and I somehow didn’t pack *any* setting powder, loose or pressed, so I was looking pretty shiny especially as it was hot where we were.

And then of course I went out in the pouring rain and all my makeup washed off my face, but it was so worth it.

  14. Pamela

Christine can you please tell me what mascara are you wearing here. Looks great!!

  15. Pamela

never mine!!! i have just read it… clumsy….=]

  16. Telissa

Love this color combo! I’m gonna try it! I’m darker so I hope it will be just as pretty :)
