    Ooh that is soo pretty!

My favorite is what I’m wearing today…my version of pixi2woo’s Katy Perry look- violet lids with glitter and a touch of navy in the outer corner, a yellow waterline, green lower lashline, and pink lips. Might sound a little strange but I really love it.
eyes- tfsi, maybelline too cool color tattoo as a base, UD tainted as a crease blending color, UD omen washed over the lid/crease for a little sparkle. MUG Unicorn packed on the lid and blended out into the crease. Tiny bit of a navy kat von d shadow in the outer corner, sugarpill tako as highlight/inner corner. For the glitter, I just applied a lavendery glitter liner from NYX all over the lid.
Black liquid liner on the top lashline.
NYX Milk covered by Sugarpill Buttercupcake on the lower waterline, Sugarpill Acidberry on the lowerlashline, a touch of navy on the outer corner of it.
    Sugarpill Sinnocent falsies.

Face- too faced primed and poreless, skin79 VIP super gold plus bb cream, kat von d tattoo concealer, maybelline dream matte powder. Benefit Hoola to contour, a liberal amount of theBalm Down Boy blush.

Lips- Maybelline pink peony lipstick used as a stain, nyx beige (bubble gum pink) gloss on top.

    Very colorful, Christine.

Here’s my look for the week:

Eyes: I put UD Half Baked on one half of my lid and MUFE Plum 39 on the other. I used UD Kinky under my browbone. I lined my eyes with Bobbi Brown gel liner in Caviar Ink (top lid only). I used L’oreal Million Lashes in Blackest Black.

Face: MUFE HD foundation and Tarte finishing powder. Nars Irresistiblement bronzer as blush.

Lips: L’oreal Le Balm in Caramel Comfort.

I am totally found of one of your eye make up once again. Gorgeous association of colors. I’ll try to do quite the same with what I have. Thank you! :)

I’ve been at the yoga studio and/or gym almost every day so not much opportunity for makeup looks but last weekend, I went looking for my dress for my daughter’s wedding. On my face, I wore Mac Sweet Satisfaction all over the lid and inner crease (it is such a great colour) with Inglot 422 (I think that’s the colour on the outer lid and crease. Gosh Metallic Brass liner. Tarte Natural Beauty on my cheeks and Clarins Gloss Prodige in Raspberry on my lips (I blotted it off before trying dresses just in case – I’d have hated leaving stains even on the sample dresses)

  5. This week I found a new mascara look that I am in love with. I came across it accidentally but it turned out to give me phenomenal lashes. I layered Dolce & Gabana Secret Eyes lengthening mascara on top of Benefit’s They’re Real Volumizing mascara. Wow!

  6. I LOVE this one!!! Whenever I combine colors on my lids I look like nothing!

This week my favorite look was done with Dior Golden Savannah, Bobbi Brown Pink Coral blush, and Razzberry Creamy Matte Lip Color. I’m really impressed with the blush and the lipstick (not that the quint isn’t good but I might not have found a way to wear it that makes it VERY special)!

    I have a picture on Twitter:!/mostlysunnyblog/media/slideshow?

So, so, SO pretty! This one is definitely on my list of favorites that you’ve done. I wish you would do tutorials. Hell, I’d pay you to teach me. *grin*

I got inspired by you to do one of your “sunset looks.” I think I’m going to do it more often because, talentless as I am, it actually looked really pretty. I used NARS’ Montenegro cream blush (dark plum) as a base on the eyelids and in the outer V. (Am I crazy to use a cream blush as a base?) Then, I used an YSL Ombres Duolumieres Duo: light orange-apricot from the tear duct out to the Montenegro plum. A Chanel quad’s burnished bronzey orange on the crease and above, with the 2nd part of the YSL duo in a soft, pale matte yellow to blend, up to the brow and on the brow bone. ELF felt-tipped liquid liner in purple all across the upper lashes, with UD’s pink Woodstock 24/7 eyeliner on the middle to outer eyelashes. Same thing on the lower lash line. Clinique mascara.

Face: Shisheido Tinted Moisturizer, NARS Duo Concealer in Custard/Ginger, NARS Torrid Blush, and an Estee Lauder lipstick in mango. The Torrid Blush was PERFECT with this!

Cellphone photos of the eyelook– don’t laugh but it took forever to fix the size of these so they weren’t ginormous. I really don’t know how all of you do these closeups! Flickr links:

    • I really like this on you! I think you suit ‘reddish’ tones better than I do. I tried for a ‘cranberry’ look this week which just fell flat on me IMO. Looks great!!!

      • Kafka

Thank you! I was surprised that I didn’t look jaundiced or like Malaria Central, and, instead, it showed off the real colour of my eyes which can look jet black with a lot of other shades. I think it’s because the orange was really more apricot and softer , pink always works (UD’s Woodstock… if you don’t have it, consider it! So funky!) and the colours were generally matte.

It’s funny, for all I like UD or the sheen on frosty/shimmery eyeshadows, I think I actually look much better with matte eyeshadows. I’m starting to reconsider a lot of eyelooks because *all* the ones that are most flattering to me are matte. Almost without exception! I can’t figure out why?

        • I think most shadows that I like best on me are matte or have shift shimmer. I love the complexity of the shift shimmer shadows versus straight shimmer. I love the intensity and sophistication of matte shadows. I don’t actually care for full shimmer on my eyes because I think they are too small and too crepey to carry it off. I am wearing more shimmer than I used to though, but matte will always be my mainstay. :) Now try and keep that dirty German clean this week, okay? LoL

    Very lovely!

LOVE the look you did! I wanted that palette before I saw this look and read the review, but now I want it even more!

My favorite look I did this week comprised of theBalm shady lady vol. I. On the lids: Come Hither Heather; in the crease and outer v: All the way Annie; and finally to define the outer v: Guilty Gwen. I used MAC blacktrack fluidline on upper lash line and UD Stray Dog on the lower lashline. Benefit Hervana on cheeks and MAC Oh Oh Oh on lips.

    Love Love LOVE this!

  13. Very pretty! This week I’ve been playing with Sleek’s Acid I-Divine palette. For an upcoming article on my blog I’ve been doing looks with bright colors all week, to prove that color can be wearable. The favorite look I did was one with neon yellow, orange and pink :-)

  14. I didn’t have a lot of play time this week, but this particular duo by NARS, Jolie Poupée, really impressed me. I bought it super cheap on eBay and it is a WIN. The colours were soft and creamy and definitely one of the better Nars duos I have used.

    • Kafka

How pretty! Super sexy, Wendy. I love that violet colour! Was it mostly the darker of the duo that gave that colour? How was it to use in terms of pigmentation when used dry? I have Jolie Poupée (I) in my New Wave palette but it’s considerably lighter and more lilac-y. I’d wanted the full duo before but now, I’m not sure it’s worth it for just one colour, even if I did get a good eBay price.

      • LoL..I have no idea what is the darker of the two shadows because to me, they are almost equal..just different purple/red purple/blue intensities. I thought this palette was freaking excellent. I packed the colour on with a brush I wet first and then almost dried on a piece of paper towel. Then I applied dry. I used the purple/blue on the outer half and the red/purple on the inner half plus a bit at the browbone. Both colours packed really well and as I packed the colour on, the intensity increased particularly in the purple/red. Does that help? Seriously one of the best NARS duos I have ever used. Thanks hun! xoxo

  15. I agree..this look Christine, is one of the top looks I have seen on you. You completely wow’ed me with it!

  16. Veronica

This a really beautiful look on you. The teal and purple in particular really stand out.

Eyes: Urban Decay Hot Pants on inner half of lid, Urban Decay Strip on outer, theBalm’s Matt Smith on brow, Maybelline Stiletto on lashes

Face: Sephora brand tinted moisturizer in Beige, NARS Angelika on cheeks, NARS Copacabana on highlight points (<3 this highlighter)

Lips: Revlon Lip Butter in Strawberry Shortcake

  17. Love this look on you so much :)
my favorite look this week was the one I did with the Fun palette, too, incorporating all shades.

  18. This is a lovely look!

My favorite look this week was a red lip with a clean taupe eye – used 2 fabulous Ellis Faas products for the look –

  19. I adore what you do with bright colors. Such subtle beauty is quite inspiring.
