What we're Wearing

What We’re Wearing, Vol. 051

By default, it was kind of my favorite since I wasn’t able to capture anything else I happened to wear this week on camera.  This is NYX Almond Roll-On Shimmer on eyes, Tom Ford Lovelust Blush on cheeks, and Milani Photo Flash on lips.  I can’t remember what eyeliner I was wearing here!

What was your favorite look you wore this week?

I love your blush. The new Tom Ford collection looks so beautiful. Will you be reviewing any of his new makeup collection?

  2. I was hoping you’d tell us what that pretty bronzey shadow was. :)

I did a look based on a bronze and green look you did a while back, Christine (I think it was with Le Metier de Beaute).

Wow love the color combo. Whats a dupe for the blush?

With those brows, you could wear a lip-focused look every day, Christine! I see this done sub-optimally a lot, so I try to point out good technique when I see it. You have defined the eyes and cheeks, but really picked out the lips and eyebrows and this is exactly how to do that type of look. It keeps the face balanced.

I had a fun week creating hooded eye looks with some loose shadows/pigments from Coastal Scents. They have a warm hot-chocolate brown one (Balara) that I put on my hood (no crease) with some UD Half Baked on the lid and MAC Vanilla on the brow bone and this did well for me. I used UD’s Bourbon as a liner to continue the warmth of the brown. I really liked that one!

    love that photo flash

  7. I’ve been wearing a really simple look to work everyday, using theBalm’s Shady Lady vol 2. A mix of Devilish Danielle and Mischevious Marissa on the lids, with Feisty Felicia used wet as a liner.

Your skin looks FABULOUS this week! Please can you tell me what you are using and also are you wearing a highlighter. You are glowing! I love the look on you!

  9. Photo Flash is really nice on you, and the blush looks very natural!

My favorite look this week is a dark green eye I created with Wet n’ Wild Comfort Zone. I started by putting the crease shade of the right column in the outer corners of my eyes and then dragged it in. I used the eyelid shade for the inner half of my eyes, blending it with the crease shade. My inner corners were highlighted with the browbone shade, and Bobbi Brown Bone on my brow bones. I did my liner pretty thick and smudged out with Creep (upper lash line) and Darkhorse (lower lash line). Cargo BeachBlush in Cable Beach on my cheeks, a bit of Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess matte bronzer, and Bobbi Brown Nougat on my lips.

Voila the link if anyone is interested in seeing how it turned out!

I’ve been wearing the exact same look for days now, which hasn’t happened in years.

Face: CoverGirl Trublend Foundation in 1-405 all over, MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NW15 under eyes,Physician’s Formula Mineral Wear Correcting Powder to set, Benefit Hervana Box Powder on cheeks, Benefit High Beam as cheek highlight

Brows: MAC Beguile Browset with High Beam on browbone

Eyes: Vanilla pigment on the inner corner, L’Oreal Liquid Liner Intense in Black, Rimmel Lycra-Lash Mascara

Lips: MAC Sweet Sunrise or Pretty Please

I like this look a lot. It’s easy, fairly natural, and gives a really pretty glow. I especially love the Hervana/High Beam combo!

That blush is GORGEOUS on you!

I would love, love, love to try all of NYX products because they look awesome and they are inexpensive, but they are so loaded with parabens that I can’t bring myself to buy any. Same with NYC products. The ones that don’t have parabens seem to have shea butter which I can’t use so I’m kind of stuck in the make-up department. Also there are so many products with phenoexantol (I have no clue how to spell it, but I recognize it when I see it) which is said to be just as bad as parabens in them as preservatives it is just hard to choose good products. You look so pretty when you do your make- up though. I’m jealous! hehe. What eyeliner’s would you recommend for the waterline. I’v never used any on my water line before.

So far I remember, ” Bella Bamba ” from Benefit, the new Make Up Forever lipstick ( shade 21 or shade 23 ), and also ” Hervana ” from Benefit. As a nail polish ” Rose caché ” from Chanel.
    That’s all !
