Ooohhh, great! I can see the look so much better with a little more distance than usual! Love this shot! Keep ‘em coming!
Thanks, Belen!
I totally agree!
Face: Laura Mercier Oil-Free Primer, Mix of MUFE HD Foundation (127) and MAC Pro Longwear Foundation (NC25), MaxFactor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush (14 Soft Pink), Set with MUFE Super Matte Loose Powder (14 Sand)
Eyes: Maybelline Define-A-Brow Eyebrow Pencil (Dark Brown) and Clinique Lash Power Mascara (Black Onyx)
Lips: Shiseido Perfect Rouge Tender Sheer Lipstick (PK327)
When you apply two different foundations, how do you apply?
I actually mix the two foundations on a palette first then apply them with a foundation brush (something like a mac 190 will do just fine).
Benefit discontinued champagney-coloured cream eyeshadow on the lid, bobbi brown champagne quartz in the crease, bobbie brown taupe in the crease to darken, bobbi brown dual liner bronze in the inner corner and chocolate on the lash line, maybelline collossal on eyelashes. On cheeks bobbi brown pink sugar, and lips was this red-pink lip stain from Morocco, with lip salve of course!
I wore it as a semi- inspiration of Marilyn Monroe’s favourite drink – Champagne of course, and her stunning red lips!
What a lovely neutral look, Lucia!
My favorite look this week would have to be the look I wore to my daughter’s school Christmas play.
Stila shadow pot in Petal all over the lid up to crease, L’Oreal Infallible eye color in 013 Burning Black on the outer lid and slightly the crease. L’Oreal Infallible eye color in 027 Goldmine as highlight under the brow. Line my eyes with MAC Super slick liner in Smoky Heir. Laneige mascara + MAC Zoom Lash mascara.
Face: MAC Prep+Prime Skin Base and Aqualabel white liquid foundation in OC10
The Body Shop Roseflower blush
MAC Dubonnet lipstick
Love it! Dubonnet was a perfect choice!

Loove the look! It’s really inspiring cause i always wanted to go for some semi bold coloured makeup, but still not too much. And you definitely did that! You should do the FOTD kind of thing more, dont know if you do it regular haven’t been following this blog for so long lol.. wish i did cause it’s the only blog i know updating so much on daily basis with reviews, swatches and everything. Best blog evah! (:
We have feedback surveys, and readers preferred less looks, so I don’t post the majority of the ones I do!
But there are like 400+ looks in the archives under “looks” that you can go through at your leisure! Thank you!!
oh my god! you look stunning!
Thanks, Div!
You look so lovely! Love the look. Wish I looked that nice with my hair pulled back! xxx
Thank you, Nazia!
Wow, what a cute look. The blue and teal in combination with that neutral shade looks really good. Good inspiration, I think I try something equal tomorrow.
My favourite look for this week was:
MUFE HD Foundation #120 and 135, Nars Luster (looks so natural), on the lids neutral, gold and brown shades by Inglot, black Mascara and By Terry Or d’Rose on the lips (just a hint of gold-red-reflex). I was so simple and so classic and created a nearly non-makeup look. I really loved it.
Luster is a great shade!
Victorian Disco R2 on the lid.
ELF Golden Glow in the crease.
Avon Rich Creme on the brow bone.
Lined with Victorian Disco’s AC-130 Glitter on the top lash line and ELF’s Shimmer Eyeliner pencil in Blissful Blush on the lower lash line. finished off with Maybelline’s Great Lash: Lots of Lashes mascara.

Xmas party last night. I wore MAC Dalliance all over the lid and in the inner corner and Night Manoeuvres in the crease and outer 1/3 of the lid. Same below my lower lashes. Black liner and mascara. MAC Conjure Up mineralized blush on my cheeks with TheBalm Mary-Loumanizer to highlight and also on my brow bones. MAC Total Wow on my lips. I felt very pretty and festive.
Sounds lovely, Mariella!
I was happy that I got to try out a couple of “night out” looks this week. In particular, I did one with Armani ETK Purpura on my lids, with Laura Mercier’s African Violet blended a little in the outer crease, a slightly winged black liner and a matte Inglot neutral (#351) to highlight.
On the face, all over but especially on the cheekbones, I used Lightscapade and contoured my cheeks with Mac’s Strada blush. (I find these work really well to give a very defined look to my face).
And on the lips I wore Guerlain’s Gigolo, which is one of my favourite lipsticks ever.
I also did a look with Mac’s pink Opal pigment (with a a couple of other things) on my eyes and Guerlain’s “Bee” on the lips. I’ve been in a very berry mood this week, I guess.
That sounds gorgeous, Kate! Are you going to post them? Maybe you already have… off to check!

Love the NARS Misfit with your brown eyes, it’s the perfect combo (in my humble opinion). I’ve been enjoying my MAC Holiday eye products, the “For Effect” paint pot under Winterized and Frozen Blue with a dark black eyeliner. Lots of sparkle! Figure it fits with the season.
Very festive!

Christine you look mega hot in this picture! Wow!
I played around with my Wet n’ Wild Comfort Zone this week. I did a look using the browbone shade on the right on my lid, definer shade on the right in my crease, and browbone shade on the left to highlight my inner corners. For my cheeks I’m sticking to MAC Tea Petal (because it’s the only blush I own. I’m trying to lay my hands on Tarte blushes though) and Harmony (PS: I really like Victoria’s guest post on contouring. She’s absolutely right about the fishy face not always corresponding to where you should contour). I used Bobbi Brown Nougat on my lips to compliment the slightly darker eyes.
Here is my blog entry of the look:

2. eyes – chanel illusion d’ombre in 82 emerveille all over upper lid and as a liner on a lower lashline OR no eyeshadow-just YSL touche eclat on the upper lid(makes you look really fresh and pretty, as if wearing no makeup:))) lower waterline Nars larger than life long-wear eyeliner in rue bonaparte, MaxFactor false lash effect mascara – carefully applied on curled lashes-beware of an overdose, lashes gotta look natural and kind of bare:)
3. lips and cheeks – guerlain rouge g 03 galia – as a light stain on lips and patted softly onto cheeks:)))
4. brows – experimenting with a very cheap quad I got the other day, never heard of this brand but my best friend said it was pretty good-Essence quattro eyeshadow 07 I use 2 tones to kind of shape and sculpt my brows
Very pretty!
