What we're Wearing

What We’re Wearing, Vol. 043

This was my Thanksgiving look, and since we were planning to snap some family photos for my family’s holiday cards, my boyfriend snapped a few of me outside in front of a pretty tree that was all pink and orange and pink-red.  I wore Giorgio Armani #14 Eyes to Kill Intense on the lid with Tarina Tarantino Fantastical Jewel Eyeshadow Palette (the darkest plum shade) in the crease with Burberry Trench to highlight.  On cheeks, I wore Korres Natural Blush on the apples and Laura Mercier’s Rose Rendezvous to highlight.  Lips were a mixture of Milani’s Modern Mauve with Bobbi Brown Bare Sparkle High Shimmer Lipgloss and Bobbi Brown Aubergine Lipgloss.

What was your favorite look you wore this week?

What a gorgeous picture of you! By the way, I love all your new contributors. It’s really fun to see all these perspectives in one place. Maybe we are one step closer to Temptalia the magazine…. hahaha. After all, Temptalia for MAC did come true, to a certain extent.

  16. It’s totally not fair that you’re so pretty. :P

This week I wore NARS Strada on the lid, topped with NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Yogurt, then blended. I used the purple Almay trio (for brown eyes) and put the dark purple in the outer v and the lavender on my browbone. Eyeliner and mascara: Lakme Kajal and Estee Lauder Double Wear. Lips: Revlon Spicy Cinnamon.

  17. LH

    GORGEOUS Christine!
I’m not wearing any makeup right now but I’ll recount my Thanksgiving look if I can remember correctly.
Cheeks: Posietint and Hoola Bronzer (both Benefit)
    Lips: MAC Date Night Dazzleglass
Eyes: UDPP, Benefit Gilded underneath MAC All That Glitters on the lid and MAC Soba in the crease. Used Urban Decay Blackout from the 15th Anniversary Palette wet to line my top lashline.

I loved this look and using Gilded underneath All That Glitters is absolutely gorgeous!

  23. Joan

Christine you are totally stunning. You have the most beautiful smile ever!!

  24. LU

You look great Christine! That hair of yours is so gorgeous when it’s long, and I loved it when you had it short too.

My Thanksgiving look; I tried to really go outside my comfort zone by using a lot of colors and I think it turned out great.
Eyes: UDPP, Benefit Ice Shot, Inglot 501 on inner third, MAC Silver Fog Pigment on outer third, Benefit Where There’s Smoke in crease, Inglot 453 highlight, MAC X mascara, Loreal Lineur Intense on upper lash line and UD Zero on my waterline.
Face: MAC Studio Fix Powder, Benefit Dandelion, MAC Pink Power MSF, MAC Viva Glam V lipstick and MAC Viva Glam V lipglass.

    • Haha, after going short twice, I’ve learned that long hair is for me :) I always miss it SO SO much when it’s short. Like to the point where I actually considered extensions!

      Great smoky eye!

  25. That a really nice picture of you. I like your shirt n_n

I’ve done so many looks this week, its hard to choose which one is my favorite. I’ve been feeling really creative and bright lately. I probably like a tropical yellow and green look I did with my Beilizi palette best. Bright yellow and greens blended from the lid to brow bone, with some bright blue in the crease.

  38. Anna

Hello, this is my first post. I’ve only been reading Temptalia for a short time but I’m really enjoying it. Great reviews! Anyway, this is what I wore for a Thanksgiving party in Tokyo!:

Dior Couture Golds on my eyes: The white gold shade on my brow bone and inner eye, the bronze shade on my lid, the copper shade in the crease, the dark brown shade lined my upper and lower lashes, and I added the sparkly gold as a highlighter on the lid. I also used Eyescream gel liner in black along the upper lashes and upper waterline, and Maybelline Volume Express: The False Lash in black. On cheeks I wore Dior Rosebud and on my lips I wore Shideido Maquillage Perfect Gloss RS587.

    Happy Holidays! :-)

  39. My fav look this week:

Lorac’s Innocence on the lid and inner corner, Mac’s Satin Taupe on the crease. For night, I added Mac’s Typographic on the crease and lower lashline. Super duper liked it!

  40. Katie

What foundation ate you wearing? You face looks flawless!

  41. ABSOLUTELY Gorgeoussssss Christine …. and GOD … I want that smile of yours …. i do wantttt

you are looking so adorable and million thanks to our Shaun for this picture … it is priceless :D :D

  42. KrissKross

    So pretty!! You look amazing.

For my look yesterday, I wore Sugarpill’s eyeshadows in Love+, Flamepoint, And Buttercupcake on the lids blended out. Then a cut crease with Bulletproof, belended up into tako. I used a Hard Candy glow all the way luminizer in dollface, with H.C’s honey moon blush. For lips i just used a lip scrub and nude gloss. No need for foundation or concealer.

  43. Kristen

Christine, you look absolutely stunning in this picture. The colour of the tree, lips and your sweater mesh so well! FAB pic!

  44. Jessica

My favorite look from this week was clinique eye trio in blushing nude. maybelline great lash mascara. chanel bronzer in desert corail on cheeks. clinique long last lipstick in creamy nude topped with moth to flame dazzleglass for some shimmer. After seeing Adele on the cover of Cosmo I had to run out and purchase the eyeshadow and lipstick. If you are fair/light complected like me you should really try creamy nude. It has enough pink in it to make it wearable for lighter skin tones.

  45. Katie

What foundation are you wearing? Your face looks flawless!

  46. you are beautiful!! i love your hair.

  47. Christine, you’re such a babe! That hair is getting so loooong!

  48. nana k

Giorgio Armani ETK intense in #4 and #2,
    MAC fluidline in blacktrack,
MAC cremesheen glass in pure magnificence,
MAC supreme sheen lipstick in happy hibiscus (as blush).

i am loving how happy hibiscus looks on my cheeks,
i’ve been looking everywhere for a pale pink blush and this really works.

  49. You look lovely, I love your sweater! Pretty makeup too, love the lip color! :)

  50. Wow,Christine…you look amazing….and I must say beautiful background

My Thanksgiving look had to be my favorite this week.
Eyes- MAC Grain all over lid, MAC Saffron in the crease, MAC Antiqued in the outer v, upper lash line lined and winged with Revlon Colorstay liquid liner in Black Brown, MAC Tedd smudged into lover lash line.
Face- Smash Box Halo Glow to warm up my face with MAC Pinch Me on the apples
Lips- Rosebud lip salve topped with a nude Smash box liner that I have.

  54. Hilary♥

    Christine you are super gorgeous!!

  55. What a lovely picture!
My 2 favourite looks this week:
    - I tried to reproduce the Make Up For EvernSmoky Color look in green , using the MUFE 4K forest green khol and a matte dark green eyeshadow by Kiko, paired with nude semi-matte lips (Kiko Velvet Matte Satin lipstick in Nude Rose) and it turned out pretty good;
    - I also used the Benefit Eye Gotta eye kit a couple times, and my favourite combo is Flash cream shadow as a base, Canopy in the crease, and Spiced in the outer corner and below the lower lash line.

  56. cydoniac
