MAC @ L.A.M.B.

Charlotte Tilbury describes the look at L.A.M.B. as, “The feeling was 1930s prostitute–trampy, smoky eye, deep “rougeoir” lips and beautiful pale skin.”

Makeup How-to

  • Eyes: Eye Kohl in Smolder and Fluidline in Blacktrack – blended and smudged around and into the eyelid for a feline-shaped eye. Lip Treatment – dabbed on eyelid over eye kohl for a wet look effect
  • Face: Face and Body Foundation – Applied all over face to give pale, doll-like skin.
  • Lip: Lipmix in Crimson (PRO only) and Burgundy – Blended together and applied to the lip. Lip Pencil in Burgundy – app lied around the lip to give an over-drawn shape to the mouth.

it’s weird how the clip on bangs don’t match in the 2nd picture. i wonder if that was intentional. regardless, the makeup is fierce :)

    love this look,
also the lips, they made it look great,
only on the last model you can tell by her lower lip they overshaped it ,
though the other models are too, but it is much less noticible

I am loving this look on the top model. Super dark and bold – and loving the description!!

  4. Alexis

    “1930’s Prostitute-trampy” – best description evar – hahaha

  5. Jennifer

I think this type of look always looks great on blonds. Not saying it couldn’t work on other hair color, but blond’s seem to carry off red lipstick really well!

  6. I’ve never thought about using Lip Treatment on the lid. I wonder what spawned that idea? I would have reached for Gloss texture instead (just by instinct). Interesting!

lol Do we really want to look like 1930s prostitutes? Not really an attractive look IMHO.

  8. Melissa

    prostitute–trampy makeup? okay….

  9. liana

Not feelin the make-up on the last model. Her cheekbones are defined too dark, she looks angry. The cheeks in the first pic are perfect, light a fresh to balance out the intense eyes and lips.

Dear god the last girl is SO unfortunate looking…

  11. angie

i love this look! the lips are something i would totally wear with a neutral eye

and this isn’t very nice, but seriously the last girl is a model? she kind of looks like a transvestite :/

  12. Jenn

LOL! I just watched this on MAC’s fb video blog.

  13. Is the last model a guy??

  14. Jay

I think the first too models look lovely! The last model…well…it may just not be the makeup for her.

But I do love the look!

  15. laura

    omg looks so awesomeeeee

  16. Christine

Third picture…..have you heard the song “Dude Looks Like A Lady”? by Aerosmith. I do believe she is a he. LOL

    • Beto Kylie

I swear I think the same thing!!! She has the perfect facial structure for a male model!!! I think the second and third models could be men in ‘drag’. Some other hairstyle could have been better for the look…

Oh wow, the uneven bangs in pic #3 is so creepy, the eye goes right there, can’t pay attention to the makeup. It works for the blondes but not not there.

  18. Horrible! They look like witches :(( How can a girl look beautiful with this makeup….gee

  19. Anitacska

Yikes, really ugly make up. Especially on the last model. :S

  20. Wow soooo pretty and vampy!!! Im deff going to try this style… i love it!!!

  21. aradhana

i think i would have preferred seeing this from farther away….full length photos…the lighting just seems so harsh. i like the colour chart, but then it’s not translating very nicely in the pics….

I love this look and women of many different colorings can pullit off. But it’s very nighttime-y, so people shoyuld mostly try this look for going out at night!

  23. Melissa

LOL It’s not often you hear ‘prostitute’ as an inspiration.
