Bobbi Brown @ Yigal Azrouel

Inspired by a collection rich in texture, the makeup for the Fall 2010 Yigal Azrouel collection is about the texture of the skin. Chic, yet effortless, skin is bronzed with emphasis on cheeks, and eyes are softly defined in beige and brown tones. Nude lips complete a fairly monotone, natural look, with the exception of a strong, linear, defined brow.

Makeup How-to

  • Skin: Hydrating Face Cream ($50), Hydrating Eye Cream ($45), Foundation Stick ($40), Creamy Concealer ($22), Corrector ($22)
  • Eyes: Suede Long-Wear Cream Shadow ($22) all over lid, Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Sepia Ink ($21) applied lightly and smudged on upper and lower lashline
  • Cheeks: Bronzing Powder ($40)
  • Lips: Hot Cocoa and Salmon Lip Color ($22 each)
  • Brows: Clean and brushed up with a touch of Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner in Sepia Ink ($21)

I hate it. I’ve come to realize I only like dramatic runway looks :). I can say it’s miles ahead of that Stila makeup from a few days ago.

It’s funny, I had the exact opposite reaction! I love it–it’s so soft and beautiful. Natural, beautiful makeup seems to create an ethereal, dreamy runway, and puts the focus back on the clothes. Different strokes move the world, right? :)

Gorgeous. They look so fresh, youthful and naturally pretty.

I don’t hate it, it’s just so boring. I know its the makeup non-makeup look, but this is just so uninspiring, so very blah.

  4. I also thought that this look was very beautiful! I think its nice sometimes to see a more natural look for the makeup and then let the clothes speak for themselves. Especially since these clothes aren’t so dramatic, I think that dramatic makeup may have taken away one’s attention from the clothes.

I LOVE THIS. It’s a great soft, natural and pretty look that’s perfect for spring.

I’ve always been bored by Bobbi Brown, even since the days before she became popular. The makeup doesn’t look bad, just too simple for a fashion show.

To me they kind of look sick/tired a little yellow and their hair isn’t really doing much for me. Im all about natural looks but this is like not flattering.

i don’t like how the foundation on the second model doesn’t match her neck. maybe it’s the lighting, but that’s a major pet peeve for me lol
