MAC Fabulous Felines: Video Review
As promised, here is my video review for the new MAC collection. I tried to get through it as quickly as possible, and yet it still ended up being 32 minutes long. Whew! Grab lunch, coffee, carrot sticks… and maybe a merit badge if you actually watch the whole thing
Hee! I was wondering what you would recommend for me. I'm looking for a good longlasting eyeliner. And I'm not sure if I would go for on the hunt, the superslick eyeliner, or go for blacktrack fluidline. Could you help me out?
This review is so great, Christine! I made time to go in and play around with all 3 lines but I always enjoy YOUR insight and comparisons so much! Thank you!!! (Wearing my brownie patch!) You rock....
This is such an awesome video, maybe because I LOVE this collection. It's the perfect fall collection. The pigments, liners and shadows are just gorgeous. I wish they were actual eyeshadow singles instead of quads, but oh well. I really am going to pass on VV, doesn't even compare to the colors in this collection.
your video helped me to decide what i really wanted so thankss! haha oh and i was wondering if you know of a dupe for the mac paintpot in the color fresco rose? really random, i know, but please answer because i can’t find the paintpot onilne
I can't think of any dupes off hand, but I'd suggest looking into Benefit - they might have a shade similar!
to get the eyeshadow out of the new pallets i just turn it upside down then hit it upside down against my hand.
Your youtube videos are the best by far in my opinion. You have detailed reviews on everything and you can actually see the real colours. After your reviews and swatches i know now what i am going to buy from this collection. Thanx a million! you put so much time and effort :)
As always, this review is fantastic! You're very thorough and specific, which I really appreciate. Regarding depotting the new quads, I did two last night, and it was pretty simple. I opened the palette, and covered a shadow with a towel, then pressed a hair straightener over it for about a minute, until the plastic was mouldable. I then pulled the plastic back, away from from the metal pan, with a pairing knife, and slipped the pan out with the knife. The shadows came out perfectly, but the edges of the palette were a bit warped. They don't look too bad though, so I think that it should still be ok for Back to MAC.
By the way, thank you so much for providing these swatches. It definitely makes my purchase decisions easier!
Just curious, but are you a lefty? I was watching this, thinking "Why does the way she opens twist tubes seem unfamiliar?", then I realized you twist with your left hand/hand holding the tube of product, and I had to ask.
You are AMAZING Christine! I don't know how you do all of this! You are my "go to" girl for reviews, swatches, and info for beauty goods.
Notoriety reminds me of Gazette Grey from the Pret-a-Papier collection. Gorgeous greyish taupey brown with gold glitter in the pan- horrible color pay off.

I watched it all! Woo! I find the video review easier to digest for big collections which are a bit overwhelming otherwise!
I did it! :) I like these video reviews. I like the still photos on the blog more, but I really like the additional video reviews like this. Good job! LOTS of work but great job! Thanks! :)
