40 thoughts on “Look Book – What would you pair Woodwinked eyeshadow with?

  1. Anne

I would pair woodwinked with bronze e/s in the crease and brule on the brow bone.

I would also use handwritten as a wash, with woodwinked on top with nocternelle or plum dressing in the crease.

  2. Bellissima

Wow thats so funny when I read the post , I was just wearing woodwinked last night, I paired it with sketch in the crease , carbon in the outer corner blended out , woodwinked on the inner lid and cranberry on the lid. And nylon as a highlighter. I got so many compliments on the look last night.

  3. Kat

Woah, yeah, interesting timing on this one as I was *just* thinking “what should I wear with woodwinked today.” I did woodwinked in the crease like Bellissima suggested, with Nylon on the inner lid and swimming across the lid and in the outer corner. I used Sea & Sky (the darker shade) for along the waterline.

  4. hi

I’m so confused on what shade this is – is it antique gold or warm brown?

    • Mac discribes it as Shade description: Warm antique gold (Veluxe Pearl) So yes it is a warm colour, and it also an antique gold, to me the eyeshadow finish is much more of duochrome finish. Hoped this helped! :)

  5. HoneyLust on the lid, WoodWinked on the crease! :) With fulfilled plushglass and plushlash Mascara. :)

  6. hi

I’ll assume it’s gold.. Woodwinked on the inner lid, Sable dusted with Tempting on the middle lid, a packed-on layer of Tempting on the outer lid dusted with Embark. Drag Embark into the crease and darken the crease with a bit of Swiss Chocolate. Highlight the brow bone with Nylon. Line lower lashline with Powerpoint Pencil in Engraved, making the line thicker as you reach the outer eye. Smudge with Embark, and top with Sable. Finish the eyes by applying black Dazzle Lash to the top lashes, and lightly fill/color/shape the brows with your powder or pencil. Apply Springsheen blush to the apples of cheeks and highlight the cheekbones with a bit of Well Dressed blush. Finish the look with Sweetie lipstick on lips, and blot.
Now you have a perfect gold and brown FOTD! 😀

I use woodwinked with a bunch of colors! I just love this eye shadow! I pair it with Mulch, Satin Taupe, Bronze, Amber lights, Carbon, Embark, Tempting, Swiss Chocolate! A whole bunch of colors theres so much you can do it with

  8. I love to pair Woodwinked with All That Glitters, Cork, and Sumptuous Olive. Woodwinked was the first MAC eyeshadow I bought, and by far my favorite!

  9. Liz

Woodwinked on the lid, and Plumage in the crease. A unique brown/blue combo!

  10. Saira

Woodwinked is a great colour, I really like it. It’s really shimmery and works so well either as a crease colour for a more natural look or on the lid paired with a darker colour to make it smokier. I like wearing it with Expensive Pink, All That Glitters, Goldmine and Embark. I got Antiqued a while ago and I’m sure it would go really nicely with that too – will have to try that combination out soon.

  11. Hipona

My fave combo is statin taupe on lid, smut smoking on outer V and crease and woodwinked in inner V and middle lid (black lier and mascara)

  12. I love to wear Rubenesque paint pot as a base with Gleam on the lid and Woodwinked on the outer v and blended up to the crease.

  13. Laurie

I love woodwinked on the lid, Swiss chocolate on the crease, and embark on the corners. Woodwinked is a gorgeous color and looks best with warm colors. A MAC makeup artist once used woodwinked on my lids, twinks on the crease, and handwritten on my corners and finished the look with teddy eyeliner and zoom lash. Again, ALL warm colors and it looked gorgeous!

  14. Woodwinked on the lid and club or sumposom olive in the crease. Shroon as a highlighter.

  15. sweets4uk

WOODWINKED is my FAVOURITE!! I love all the looks everyone said above. One random look to through into the mix is Dreammaker in the inner corner, woodwinked in the middle then Star Violet on top of something like print or even carbon in the crease/smoked out.

  16. Tamara

woodwinked is such a beautiful color! I bought it recently and wear it with expensive pink, twinks, and grain! Boo-tiful!!

  17. Wilcoa

I always wear Goldmode pigment or All That Glitters with Woodwinked in the crease and a nice dark liner and some mascara for my gotta-go-quick look. It’s one of my favorite MAC eyeshadows!

  18. niknik

Expensive Pink or All That Glitters on the lid, and Woodwinked in the crease. Or Woodwinked on the lid, with Bronze in the outer V and Henna in the crease. It’s my everyday look! Woodwinked was my first eyeshadow from MAC and it’s still my fav.

  19. JO

Swiss Chocolate!!!!!! I did this look the other day and loved it. Woodwinked all over the lid and Swiss Chocolate on the outer corner and blend in2 crease

  20. JO

oh and i used vanilla pigment as highlight

and just some hello kitty blush (fun & games), guerlain bronzer and maybe bare slimshine :)

  23. Megan

I like to use woodwinked on the inner half of the lid, espresso in the outer half, and 100 strokes to darken the crease. Its a pretty, and natural look for me…I really like it. Woodwinked was one of the first MAC shadows I bought…LOVE the color

  24. Jenny

I was just using woodwinked today too :) Indianink paint pot on lid, woodwinked e/s as lid color, bamboo e/s in the crease and just above the crease, club e/s lightly applied in outer v and vanilla e/s as highlight. Then I applied a thin line of blacktrack fluidline on upper lashline, UD 24/7 liner in yeyo on lower waterline, UD 24/7 liner in zero on lower lashline and used a clinique mascara (forgot the name).

  25. dawn

I love Woodwinked with Goldmine and/or Amber Lights. With Indianwood Paint pot as a base. It gives a beautiful gold look.
If I’m leaning towards more brown, I’ll use Woodwinked with ground work paint pot as a base and espresso.

  26. El

I usually pair woodwinked with cranberry, expensive pink, bronze, plum dressing, antiqued and coppering.

  27. paola

i just did a look yesterday with woodwinked…i did melon pigment as a base with mixing medium…woodwinked in the crease…coppering on the outer corner on top of woodwinked…sunset b on outer third…and sketch blended into outer corner…i used a highlighter from my maybelline bronze glitz trio…it came out awesome! i love woodwinked!

  28. This eyeshadow mathes my skintone to a T! I don’t really use it for much.

  29. rowan

woodwinked is one of my faves from mac. i like it blended softly all around the eye, and then i smudge smolder khol into the lashlines, followed by lots of mascara and something like kinda sexy or taupe lipstick.

  30. Annette

Texture on the whole eyelid, woodwinked on the crease blended upwards and a little bit of shadowy lady to accentuate the crease, discreet and at the same time exotic eyes!

  31. Looks awesome with Sketch and Carbon. But I also really love it with Aquadisiac and a little Jewel Blue. Violet pigment and Nocternelle look cute qith it too.

  32. Nicole15

So funny that you posted this as I am wearing a Woodwinked look today. I primed my eye with UDthen used the following:

    – Indianwood paint pot over lid just up to crease
    – Woodwinked all over lid, taking it just a tad over the crease
    – Embark in the outer V & crease. Blend & blend to smoke it out.
    – Femme Fi to highlight the brow bone.
    – Use Embark to line your lower lash line
    – Use any dark brown liner to line your water line

    • Nicole15

Whoops – I got mouse happy & submitted before i did cheeks & lips. BTW – it was UD Primer Potion i prepped with, not UD. My bad…

      – MAC Golden Bronzer
      – NARS Amour Blush

      – MAC Gingerroot liner
      – MAC Ramblin Rose lippie
      – MAC Smile Dazzleglass

  33. ALL MAC=

  34. L1onQueen

I love woodwinked all over the lid with Coopering in the crease and outer V, with saddle or embark just above the crease, with next to nothing to highlight

  35. aradhana

    woodwinked inner corner
    tempting outer corner
    bronze in crease

  36. daantje

I’m thinking of getting this one as a crease colour, would all that glitters be a good lid colour then? And what should i wear in the outher v? wedge/kid/soft brown???
