Wow this color is awesome, I would make a purple smokey eye with it. I would go with light neutral lips, and something light one the cheeks too
I did a purple smokey eyes yesterday! And if I had this eye shadow that’s probably what I would use along with carbon and blackberry along the crease and stars n rockets in the inner corners. For the lips I would use Cutester lippy and Mimmy lipglass (from HK collection) =D
I did the Stylin’ Look (at least the eyes part):
* Eyes: UDPPS (primer), Painterly PP (base), Creme Royal + Blanc Type (middle lid), Stylin
A smokey bright purples FOTD! Milk pigment all over lid and brow bone, and then Stylin’ eyeshadow all over lid. Carbon in the crease and outer lid to darken, Silver ring sprinkled in the center of lid to add depth. Black powerpoint pencil liner on top and bottom lash lines (smudged with Raven kohl power and the MAC pencil brush). Fill, shape, and color brows with a coordinating pencil/powder. For cheeks.. hmm, for cheeks try Breath of Plum powder blush and for a sheer cool pink/purple mouth, apply Petite Indulgence Cremesheen gloss over Ever so Rich Cremesheen gloss. PERFECT!
This works really well with people who have cool skintones.
What a coincidence, I DO have Stylin’ on today! Lets see have
Face:
MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer
Chanel Bronze Universal de Chanel
Eyes:
Rubenesque Paint Pot
Creme Royal all over up to crease
Paradisco in the crease and outer 1/3
Stylin’ applied under my eyes w/ a 219 and brought up into my crease and “V”ed slightly above.
L’Oreal Lineur Intense in Carbon Black
YSL Faux Cils mascara
Cheeks:
Coastal Scents Contour & Blush Palette using the contour shade, the ivory shade, the white shade and the top blush
Lips:
MAC Pink Fish
What collection is this from? I need it!
oh gosh I didnt realize it was from the lucky tom quad, I didnt know it was that purpley!
I swatched this color in the store numerous times and it has a blue tint to it. It didn’t seem like a bright, vivid purple like the picture shows. Just to clear it up for anyone who hasn’t actually seen it in person.
Thanks for the info – I saw the picture too and thought, ‘Wow! That colour is amazing! I have to get that!’. I didn’t realise that it was the colour from the Lucky Tom pallette, as I think I’ve seen swatches of it and it had a blue-ish tinge, as you said.
It would work great with MAC Bronze eyeshadow. I have been pairing warm and cool shadows together lately with very good and surprinsingly tastefull results.
Peachy lips and cheecks work also very well with purple shadows.
I used STYLIN the other day on the outer part of my lids with stars and rockets in the middle of my lid and yogurt on the inner lid.. it made for a nice pinkish to purple fade.. and wore it with pink fish lip conditioner:)
I love to put Stylin’ all over my lid and then blend carbon with my 217 on the outer corners. It looks amazing.
I would pair it with Gingerly Sheertone Blush and a neutral lippy like MAC’s High Tea.
wow! this post is very inspiring! stylin’ looks awesome with top hay or graphology. I wore it yesterday with luck tom (crease)but it’s too chalky and gritty, i prefer parfait amour.
grrr, right?! it’s a pretty color in the pan, but the color payoff is just meh [for lack of a better word]. i don’t know, maybe i got a crappy palette but i’ve definitely had better violets/purples than this.
I did a look with this already it was super fun. I used I bunch of stuff from hello kitty of course. First I layered on Milk pigment on the eyelid to the crease. Then creme royal es on brow bone and blended down into Milk. I then packed on Stylin es on the inner and outer corners of the eye and blened in the crease. Took a little lucky tom in the crease only to darken it a little. Put on Fun and Games blush. Dabbed tippy on the apples of the cheeks. Lips I wore fashion mews, but I darken the edges with Violetta l/s.. and coated that with Fast friends. Very dramatic… Not a everyday thing to do… lol.
Eyes: Stylin’, UD’s Half Baked
Face: MAC Studio Fix
Lips: A caramel color lip gloss
