23 thoughts on “Look Book – What would you pair with MAC Straw Harvest Eyeshadow?

  1. The other day I actually patted this on my lids and swirled in Stila’s Kitten eyeshadow. It created a really neutral shimmer, but was still interesting. The Straw Harvest made Kitten less garish (it’s a bit too pink and shimmer for me) so I liked it. A little bit of bronzer and Shy Beauty blush (both Mac) on the cheeks and regular old lip blam for my lips finished it off!

I love this shadow – I wear it with Coralista blush as eyeshadow or MAC Paradisco in the crease with brown liquid liner.

I use straw harvest as a highlight almost everyday, i am nc 35 complexion so its a subtle golden highlight to my complexion. This obssesion for golden highlighters started with the Dolled up Palete from Stila.

I would use this all over the lid with a bright colour at the very end of the outer corner for a sort of peekaboo effect. I’d probably use steamy, or cranberry for a softer play on it.

I just bought Straw Harvest a few days ago! My MAC makeup artist created a very fresh looking spring look with it:

Straw Harvest in the inner corner of lid to the middle of the lid
DaBling in the outer half of lid
    Nanogold on the brow
    Saddle blended into the crease
    Blacktrack eyeliner

I was able to recreate the look and got a lot of compliments. I’m an NC20.

  6. I’m actually wearing straw harvest right now. I used Stars N Rockets eyeshadow in the crease, Fuschia pigment in the crease, Straw Harvest on the lid and Orange e/s on the outer lid with Pink Freeze to highlight. I paired this with Vivacious lipstick [C-Shock] and Funtabulous Dazzleglass. I must say I wasn’t too crazy about the dazzleglasses because I felt they were aimed more at “tweens/teens” due to the glitter but my man picked out Funtabulous for me to wear a few days ago at the MAC store and I looooooveeess it.

  7. This one was too yellow, so I skipped it. That said, I bet it would be gorgeous with Expensive pink, NARS Orgasm blush, maybe Star Violet or Satin Taupe in the crease?

  8. Stephanie

I’ve really loved using Straw Harvest with Hot Hot Hot! They blend so well into each other and it’s very springy. I also like to use Sketch as the liner to keep the look light without using black. :)

  9. Today I’m wearing it in the inner corner with flamepoint from sugar pill on the lid and hot hot hot in the crease. It’s pretty. For blush I got fun & games BPB and i dunno what i’m doing for lips probably lollipop lovin and ember glow lipglass.

I love this eyeshadow – used it today in the inner corner to mid lid finishing the lid with soft brown. Used Buckwheat in the crease and brulee on the brow. I believe I used Warm Soul for blush, Hush to highlight the cheek and Lychee Luxe on the lips.

  11. Shannon

    MAC Creme D’Nude :)

  12. Sanna

I like it a bit toned down, so I used it with Modelette in the crease. Very subtle indeed 😉 Peachykeen (or perhaps NARS Orgasm) on the cheeks and a stained lip. A blotted slimshine gives a beautiful natural lip, I use Urgent! wich is a pinky raspberry color. Awesome for everyday wear!

This might sound a little odd, but trust me it looked gorgeous…
Shale all over the top lid and blended into the crease.
Vanilla for brow highlight and to blend out any harsh lines.
Straw Harvest all along the bottom lashline/tear duct and smudged out a bit.
No liner, just Fresh Supernova Mascara.

Hush cream colour base for highlight.
    Azalea Blossom Blush Ombre.

Close to Real lipstick with just a touch of Korres jasmine lip butter on top.

A really light springy look. For reference, I’m an NW15, blonde hair, hazel eyes.

  14. Nikki

I like Straw Harvest all over the lid.
Hot Hot Hot on the outer lid to crease
Deepen the crease with a bit of brown ( I use buckwheat).
Then take Straw Harvest and blend it from the top of the crease out to the brow.
Creme de Miel as a brow/tear duct highlighter.

For blush, Peachykeen is awesome, since its keeping with the tone of Hot Hot Hot, and finish with Ensign lustreglass. I wore this look today and my Mother-in-law said I glowed.

  15. I’ve worn Straw Harvest with bronze in the crease, blown out; with Expensive Pink and Coppering for a really warm look; and with Nylon and Amber Lights. Loved them all! The other reviews make me think I should get Hot Hot Hot! to go with it…hmm…

  16. Yvonne

The other day I paired this with Hot Hot Hot eyeshadow, released along with it in the Spring Forcast collection. It was pretty, unique, spring like and very easy. Just Straw Harvest all over and Hot Hot Hot blended into the outside corner and crease.

I’ve used this one a fair amount, actually, but this was a favourite that I did for a night out:

Eyes: Nanogold to highlight on the brow bone and the inner corner of the lid, Straw Harvest over the lid, Hot Hot Hot on the outer portion of the lid for a bright pop of colour; boot black liner on upper lid, black liner on lower waterline and a thin line of BioGreen eyeshadow underneath the liner on the lower lid; Dazzle Black mascara

    Cheeks- Salsarose blush

Lips- Magenta l/l (very lightly), Victorian l/s (which now suddenly seems to work on me)

Definitely more of a nighttime look, but it worked pretty well.

  18. CosmeticQT

    Straw Harvest is great

Eyes: parfait amor (inner), Straw Harvest(middle), Vibrant Grape (crease), Ochre Style (highlight)

Lips:NYX lipliner nutmeg, Mac Fresh Brew lipstick

    Blush: Mac Eversun

  19. Resha

I actually love wearing this with teals. and it looks gorgeous with Hot Hot Hot also.

  20. Megan F

I pair it with satin taupe in the crease and nano gold in the inner corner and then I usually use zero UD 24/7 pencil to tight line and then underground UD 24/7 pencil to line the water line.

  21. Maria

I always use this in the middle of my lid with hot hot hot on the inner and outer ends. Line with black liner and it so pretty. I love those two shadows.

  22. Mia

NC35 – I like Straw Harvest packed on the lid with Embark in the crease and any dark brown liner. Very wearable day or night (Brown on the water line & tight line for night).
