  1. Michelle

I tried it with the Ever So Rich glass & it didn’t look right on me. I also tried Flusterose Lustreglass & that didn’t work either.

Some of the ladies on Specktra paired it with Opal Lustreglass & it looked wonderful.

    • I paired it with fashion scoop creem lip glass and that helped tone down the purple hue on me. I have also used it with a rimmel liner in obsession, which is a sheer plum.

  2. Victoria Maria

I would do a light white/grey look, and put on some lavender whip with some cremesheen gloss on top!

  3. KaylaK

I would add Comet Blue dazzleglass, totally gorg!

  4. K

I use it under Petite Indulgence Creamsheen glass. It is so PRETTY!

As a side note, does anyone know whether Lavender Whip is perm? I really want to get it

is lavendar whip going to be a permanent?

    • cloudburst

Lavendar Whip is LE – so scoop them up!

      • DevilishDoll

When the collection was released, it said that the lipsticks would be permanent. Is this the only one that is LE? I know it’s been sold out on the website for a long time now.

I would pair it with Black Russian pearlglide liner, tons of black mascara, Gentle mineralize blush and top it with Chanel Delight Glossimer.

Love this kinda strange colour, so much so I’m thinking of a backup.

I have and ADORE Lavender Whip. I did the most fab look with it! I used Naked Lunch shadow on my lid with Top Knot in the outer ‘v’. I used Stark Naked Beauty Powder blush on the apples of my cheeks and Lavender Whip with a touch of Ever So Rich in the center of my top and bottom lips. No Liner! :) LOVE!!!

I did a look this past weekend using pink and grey shadows from Smashbox, applying the pink shade on my lid and the grey in my crease. I lined my lower lashline with Zero eyeliner from UD and added couple coats of mascara. After adding a touch of Fashion Frenzy blush from the Fafi collection, I applied Lavender Whip layered with Wonderstruck Lustreglass. Pretty if I do say so myself:-)

I tried it with Fast Friends and it looked pretty. It darkened it a little. I want to try it with Sweet Strawberry and Decorative.

  11. I would pair it with a smokey eye!

Definitely a purples FOTD. For the eyes, smokey purples and violets: Vellum e/s from lashline to brow bone, with Satellite Dreams all over lid. Apply Stars n Rockets in the middle of the lid and Nocturnelle on the outer lid and dragged into the crease. Darken the outer lid with a dusting of Shadowy Lady and apply it to the crease as well, and blend Nocturnelle up from the crease. Swish a clean shadow brush across any harsh lines to make sure the shadow is blended and smokey. Line your top and bottom lashlines with any black pencil (I prefer MAC Powerpoint Pencil in Engraved) and then smudge with Prunella Eye Kohl and MAC’s pencil brush. Finish the eyes with black mascara – MAC Mascara X in Black works well for me, and I have medium-long, thin and naturally blonde eyelashes. Then, fill, color and shape the brows with a coordinating powder/pencil. Complement the eyes with Breath of Plum powder blush on the apples of cheeks, and to complete the look, apply Lavender Whip lipstick with Creme Anglaise on the lips. Voile! Pretty plum FOTD :)

Hmm… I’m thinking something like Urban Decay’s winter look (is this taboo or what? lol), where they had strong lips, defined but not thick or clumpy lashes, and a super-sparkly but sheer eyeshadow. Maybe something like Maui Wowie, Midnight Cowboy (Rides Again, Cowgirl, etc.), Cherry, Speed, Polyester Bride… I’d use a clear gloss to let the Lavender Whip really take center stage. Cheeks would be, hmm… I’d just use highlighter, no blush, and maybe, just maybe, a hint of bronzer to sculpt. We’re talking pale-faerie queen, here.

I have several lavendars: Lavendar Dust (oldie ), Lavendar Whip, Versace Lavendar, a Revlon Lavendar, and a MAC Martooni.. I have always love lavendars for lips. Try it with a Raspberry Gloss or a Strawberry gloss.. it’s fabulous.

  15. Definately grey or purple smokey eye, blonde msf, pink swoon on apples of cheeks, and i have this nail lacquer that is identical to lavendar whip ;)

  16. abby

lavender whip + girl about town + fast friends, it looks very pretty.

  17. kelly

I am actually wearing it today under Baby Sparks Dazzleglass and it looks so pretty!!! I also did a light purple smokey eye using some Estee Lauder eyeshadows, True Romantic on cheeks and Parlez vous Opi? on nails ( almost identical colour to Lavender Whip!!!).

  18. zoila

I usually use Lavender Whip with Ever So Rich cremesheen glass.

  19. I have been pairing it with gray smokey eyes.
The best lippie combo so far has been with a layering of MAC Snowscene gloss.

When I first applied Lavender whip it looked too dark and too purple on my lips so I applied Pretty Please first with Lavender whip in the middle and topped it off with a final swipe of Pretty Please. I got exactly what I wanted, a beautiful lighter lavender look! If you want it pinker you can apply something like Sugar trance lipglass over it.

    Christine,
Does Fashion Mews apply lighter than Lavender whip?

    • cloudburst

Fashion Mews is lighter & sheerer than LW and in my opinion looks a bit pinker on. It also has a slight frost finish.

  21. I haven’t even busted mine out yet. I am going to do so this weekend with a smokey grey eye, and an ancient and discontinued Lancome blush called Lilas, which is a lilac color. Lots of blue.

  22. IF people would stop buying out every single Lavender Whip lipstick my MAC has maybe I’d actually be able to get it and come up with things but that doesn’t seem to be happening anytime soon considering I’ve seen people walk away with up to 5 lipsticks, all Lavender Whip. It’s pointless considering they’ll wear it a few times and be done with it.

  23. Jody

Thanks Cloudburst! This sounds like what I am trying to create with Lavender whip. I should have gotten that instead. lol
