33 thoughts on “Look Book – What would you pair with MAC Aquavert Eyeshadow?

  1. since it is such a springy looking color I thought about pairing it with a nice coral orangy e/s (don’t know any hrmm) and darken the crease a little with a nice light brown. for blush a very light pink along the cheeks and the lips should be a nice coral color =D sorry I can’t name anything right now hehe >_<

  2. I have put Aquavert on the lid and then Cloudburst in the crease. It would be interesting with Pink Pearl Pigment or Stars & Rockets in the crease. I wore it the other day with Fyrinnae’s Darling Misfit in the crease and I LOVED that.

  3. Summer

Swiss Chocolate in the crease with Stila’s Coco (dark matte brown) in the outer v.

  4. melika

i have used aquavert on the lid, satin taupe in the crease and humid in the outter v. :)

  5. Laurie

Those are all good ideas! I used “Aquavert” on my lid, “Parfait Amour” on my crease, and “Sketch” on the corners. They blended together SO well! I think that greens should always be paired with purples.

Rocki Fatale – your look came out gorgeous. Love the subtle shimmer. Aquavert really is so much more versatile that people would initially think and all these great looks people have been trying out def. prove it for sure!

I can think of a million looks for it!

    1. with hot pink pigment in the crease, darkening the V with a more grape or brown-y town, aquavert in the lower center and inner lid. Blend up to highlight with Urban Decays Mildew. Touch of mildew or Nylon on inner lashline to open eye.

    2. Use Urban Decay’s Flipside in the crease, deepening V with Freshwater, use aquavert in teh lower center an inner lid. Use a navy eyeliner on outer 1/3 of lashes. TOuch Nylon along inner waterline to open eye.

3.Use Satin Taupe on V, a bronze(i don’t recall the name of the MAC shades i have/love) on the crease, blending into aquavert on the inner 1/3 lid.

    4. Use aquavert in crease, with a darker green(possibly greensmoke) on V. Blend to Mildew, or a more neutral color. i bet this would be pretty with a shade just mildly pinky.

Bear in mind-I haven’t swatched aquavert to really see the textureand finish, so its possible that i would pair it with other ones simply to get it to apply thicker/smoother/whatever. Hard to say, really.

That’s awesome you can think of so many looks for it! An suggestions just using Aquavert with only other colors from the Sugarsweet collection?

  8. I used it up to the crease and on lower lash line, sugarshot on browbone. No liner, loads of mascara. Going for the dolly look, moon river blush duo as both blush and lighter shade for highlighter. On lips I used plushglass in angel cream.

  9. Okami

Aquavert on the lid, Steamy on the outer v, Solar White to highlight, Shimmermoss to line the part of the eye where Aquavert is, blended into and slightly on top of Freshwater, which lines the part of the eye where Steamy is. Line the outer third of the bottom lid with Freshwater. Plenty of black mascara, light cheeks (I use Tarte’s cheekstains, and I’d pick Dollface), and a light lip (for me, I’d choose Love Nectar Lustreglass blended with a tiny amount of Comet Blue dazzleglass).

  10. I created a pretty spring look the other day using Aquavert. I used UDPP all over my lid followed by Benefit Cream eyeshadow in RSVP. Then I used Aquavert on the lid (packing it on, so the color payoff is good). Then I used the shimmery blue/black e/s from the MAC Hello Kitty Too Dolly Palette in the crease and outer corner. Then I used Yougurt from the same palette as my highlight. I used the same color scheme on my lower lashline followed by lining my eyes (waterline too) with Urban Decay 24/7 pencil in Zero. On my cheeks I used Intenso from the Grand Duos. On my lips I used Fashion Mews lipstick! You can check out my tutorial on this look at: http://www.youtube.com/user/makeupgirl513

I just used Aquavert for the first time today and I truly love it! I used Aquavert for my lid fading into Gulf Stream and just a smidgen of Carbon in the outer ‘V’ for more definition then, a little Sugarshot on the brow bone and a little Crystal Avalanche in the inner corners for a little sparkle. Oh yeah…I did add a little gulf stream along my lower lash line as well. Just lined the upper lower water line to keep the look soft and a few coats of Lash Blast Luxe.

On the cheeks I’m wearing Honor Blush with a little Perfect Topping on top for a sheer wash of color. Lip is super simple with C-Thru Lipglass, but it all pairs together quite nicely :) I am very happy with my look today…YAY!

I go back & forth between UD & MAC shadows & since UD just released 8 new shades, I’ve been playing with those a lot lately. This is what I used for my look:

    EYES:
    – Urban Decay Shattered (shimmery pale green/blue) on the inner third of lid
    – MAC Aquavert on the middle of the lid
    – Urban Decay Asphyxia (similar to Stars n’ Rockets) on outer third of lid and crease
    – MAC Femme Fi for blending above crease & to highlight brow bone
    – UD 24/7 Lust Liner gently smudged on lower lash line with UD Shattered lightly dusted over it.
    – Revlon Color Stay liner in Dark Brown on lower water line
    – Lots of Cover Girl Lash Blast mascara

    CHEEKS:
    – MAC Golden Bronzer
    – Smashbox Proof Sheet blush

    LIPS:
    – MAC Dervish liner
    – MAC What A Do lipstick
    – MAC Wonderstruck lipglass

    TA DA!!!!!

I did a look with Aquavert the other day…put it all over my lid over top of Cakeshop Shadestick, then did Deep Blue Green pigment on the outer V and in the crease, and Shroom as a highlight (with Aquavert and Deep Blue Green on the lower lash line). And finally Sweet Strawberry lipglass to top it all off :)

  14. Luda

Aquavert on the lid and a mixture of club and humid in the outer V blending into the crease. It looked phenomenal and really made my green eyes pop.

  15. Tekoa

Aquavert on the lid, Gulf Stream on the outter corner and crease, lastly Plumage in the outter V. Solar White to highlight (and rhyme!).

  16. Vic

Lemon Chiffon over whole lid. Sugarshot inner corner, Aquavert middle lid, and an old LE e/s from MAC – Meadow in outer V….absolutely perfect for me :-)

  17. Roslyn

I actually swatched this combo in the store that I *LOVED*:

    Cakeshop (base)
    Aquavert all over cake shop
Gesso in the very inner corner
    Steamy near the outer corner
Deep Blue Green pigment at the very outer edge

Try it, it’s hot. I’m in the 45+ range in foundation for reference.

  18. I would put prep + prime eye, Aquavert on the crease, Shimmermoss on the lid, and Parfaitamour on the lid. With Silverstroke fluidline and plushlash Mascara. For a cool M.A.C look :) x

  19. Sai

today, i used femme-fi on one half of my lid and aquavert on the outside half and blended together for a light eyeshadow look.

  20. Sai

today, i used femme-fi on one half of my lid and aquavert on the outside half and blended together for a light eyeshadow look.

  21. I’ve used Aquavert with Surreal and Steamy. With freshwater under my lower lash. With Nude lips and Pink cheeks.

I’ll have to try it again I haven’t used Aquavert in such a long time.

  22. igwonderworld

I would pair it with bright sunshine & going bananas e/s over lemon chiffon s/s, cool heat e/s in the outer lid and thunder e/s for the crease (along with a tad bit of grape p/m.) I’d use some other ones for a perfect blend but the idea is to have yellow in the inner lid, lovely spring minty green scaling up to a bright teal to be finished with a dark blue purple..

I have to try this tomorrow!!! :D

  23. adele

I did it the other day – very simply with aquavert all over the lid, and copperplate in the crease. It worked for me. I did look at club and consider it beforehand but wasn’t sure – now I know it would work…I’m gonna give it a try :) I adore aquavert

  24. Angie

I wore the look this weekend. Got a compliment on it by the MA at my local MAC.

UDPP to prime. Mylar all over the lid. Cakeshop shadestick on the inner eye and aquavert on top of that. Stars and rockets on the outer eye and in the crease. Soba in the outer crease (very lightly) to darken a bit.

I added a bit of petticoat msf to the middle of the lid to blend between aquavert and stars and rockets. I used nanogold as the highlight

Bottom lid – aquavert from the inner corner to the middle and petticoat msf (the darker veins) from the outer corner to the middle.

I lined bottom and top with bankroll pearlglide eyeliner (from suite array – the only thing I actually liked from suite array).

Nars Sin blush on cheeks and lollipop loving l/s with simply delicious l/g on lips.

  25. The other day I used Rollickin’ all over my lid, Aquavert in the inner 2/3rd’s of my eye and Deep Truth in the outer corner and up into the crease. It was really nice!

  26. I love Aquavert. If it is for a night out I love it all over the lid with some carbon in the corner. Kepp it simple with the gorg color! Obvi I would add some hot black falsies and liner. Maybe even a bright lipcolor. Great question, I might have to wear this today now!!!

I like to use Waternymph with mine. It makes me think of a mermaid. Usually I will put Freshwater along the lower lash line for a little pop.
