I adore Port Red and wore it yesterday! I did Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer on my face to tone down some of the rosiness in my skin. I wanted the look to be all about the lips, so I did Shore Leave and Nanogold on my eyes to give them a wash of pale gold to complement the gold in Port Red, finished with Plushlash mascara and brow grooming/filling in with Laura Mercier products. On my cheeks I did a light sweep of Fafi Iridescent Powder in Sassed Up because it is a nice peachy-pink with gold shimmer. I lined my lips with a red pencil (can’t remember the color!) and filled in with Port Red. Simple, but really let Port Red stand out.

OMG I just bought this color yesterday…it’s gorgeous. I would do a really simple eye - Laura Mercier’s Solid Gold eye colour duo (from summer Gold Digger collection) all over lid, then Patina in the crease. I would use Nighthawk eye pencil on waterline and Front Row pencil on outer lower lash line. A dash of MAC bronzer on cheeks (can’t remember color name). Cover Girl LashBlast mascara in black. MAC Cremestick liner in Red Enriched and Port Red lipstick to pop! the whole look.

I haven’t tried this out yet, but here’s what I would wear with Port Red:

Eyes - pigment in Naked as a base (see - I’m trying to start using pigments now!), Retrospeck, Amber Lights, Blacktrack to line the eyes, brown mascara

Cheeks - Sunbasque

Lip liner - Redd

Yes, very subtle, and pretty.

And YAY for pigments :D

Shore Leave on the lid, illegal cargo in the crease, a light touch of indian ink in the outer crease, nightfish fluidline, lots of black mascara. Light flush on the cheeks. Port Red with Love Knot over it.

I wore it today with a bit of black slightly winged eyeliner, and very simple, neutral eyes (Vanilla e/s and Naked Lunch e/s). I used Eversun as a bit of a bronzer, and Dame as blush lightly just on the apples of my cheeks. Then tiny bit of Brick l/l and Russian Red l/g over the Port Red for part of the day, and Glamour OD on top later in the day.

But, I’ve worn Love Alert l/g on top of Port Red, and WOW, totally different look. It makes it a dark magenta color. Love it!

Hey Tanya! :D

I think this is such a pretty look! And yes, I’ve heard such good things about Love Alert over reds!

Port Red is just the red shade what I want for a glamourus look, so I will combine it with a pearly, pastel, glamourus green-light turquoise eyeshadow with a good glitery yellow shade on bones.

For skin, I will use a whitener powder for a sheer and bright skin, and apply a blush gives a red hue-EM Chit Chat maybe.

A high pigmented mascara-maybe Lancome’s glittery mascara- and a clear lipgloss maximizer-Lipchic lipsealant- completes look well.

Isn’t it such a glamorous red, Kayra?

Love it :)

Thanks for the look suggestion!

I’d have to go with painterly as a base, omega in the crease, vanilla pigment as a highlight, blacktrack in a wing ONLY on to the top… #7 lashes (or ardell #102 cuz i’m broke! LOL)

Cheeks just with a light dusting of mocha blush and a gentle contour with harmony blush.

then have mega lips steal the show! my most recent post was about red lips too… one of my favorite looks :)

I would definitely pair Port Red lipstick with a neutral eye; sort of a pin-up look with the winged liner.

It could be in homage to the Naughty Nauticals theme, you know, the sailors and their pictures of pin up girls on the walls in their bunkers!
