I find that this lipglass matches nearly anything, and it was the very first MAC purchase i ever made years ago. I was 14 and fell in love with it. It’s still one of my favorites

Oh, that’s so cute, Kirsten! I think it’s so great when a product inspires love despite time!

This is one of my staples. It´s great on its own and over light lipsticks like frou, gel or utter pervette. It is also very nice to lighten darker l/s, I like it over “O”, Fluid, 5N or Strange & Exotic. Thank God this is permanent for once!

LOL, that’s so funny girls - Oyster Girl and Prr were my very 1st two MAC purchases (when I was 14 too!) as well and I am never without a tube of either. I guess they just manage to be teenage girl friendly while gaining moms’ approval @ the same time.
They will always have a special place in my heart.
I like to wear Oyster girl with all sorts of things, it was my go to “N” color before “N” collection came out, I used to wear it on many a bare faced day in high school. These days I like to wear it with a apricot-y cheeks and neutral eyes rimmed thinly in black kohl.

I looove Oyster Girl, but when I first bought it and brought it home I hated it. I got it because the MA was wearing it and it looked hot on her! On me it always looked so blah, then I went back to MAC a little while ago and the MA showed me different ways I could wear it and I started using it more..and now I use it all the time!

I like it over Mellow Flame l/s, or Naked Rose l/l with clear gloss, or over Politely Pink l/s with a darker eye. Its pretty versatile!

OG is one of my favorites and it had been for years. It goes well with pretty much everything. I last wore it with Knight Divine and carbon.

LOL, I giggled at “OG” (original gangster), because it holds true as this seems to be a lot of people’s old favorites.

I would wear it with C- Thru on top and use Spice for a lipliner.

On the eyes I would go with the Fafi Quad 1. :)

That is very pretty! I don’t usually enjoy whitish irridescent shimmer (I feel like I am too olive for it), but I’ll have to swatch it at the counter sometime.
I would use quarry or all that glitters with it!

Hey Erin! I think we all need to swatch this, since it seems quite popular!

In the past I wore my Oyster Girl to death I grew tired of the color. You can take up a color on your lipstick and/or lipgloss using Oyster Girl on top. I recommend using Oyster Girl especially if you have a lipcolor that is similar to “Totally It” from the Fafi line with Oyster Girl on top you get a pretty yummy frosted pink color…All this talk makes me want to crank out my Oyster Girl and get creative….

HA, I’m wearing it right now. It goes with everything — I’ve found it’s one of those you can dress it up or down very easily. It has to be one of my favorites (although Cult Fave is getting pretty close…LOVE!)

I wore Oyster Girl on my wedding day with Spice l/l and a brown smokey eye. I still love the way it appeared on my pics almost 3 years later!

I want to share how i wear oyster girl. All Mac products!Melba blush which is peachy and matte,Phloof eye shadow which looks like oyster girl but in an eyeshadow form it’s my favorite color i love it can’t live without it,black tied shadow, fluidline eyeliner blacktrack.I always do my makeup in a 1960’s style false eye lashes and all.Oyster girl reminds me of the 60’s and i love it so much i always feel pretty in it.Also i checked out Prr lipglass and i really liked it i had never heard about it till i read all your comments thanks girls you guys are all so cute!:-) I am trying to decide if i should but c-thru because i tryed it on once but it looked like it blended into the cracks of my lips maybe i should use it over oyster girl any suggestions? I thought it would be nice to have 3 shades to use.

This is a wonderful post, I just got OG today and I stumbled into on my own in mac the other day. It is so cute, on it’s own. What a unique color to have, and so wearable, I think this become an HG, esp. since all of my 5 other lipglosses are limited edition!
