Oooh, that is pretty! I think (if it’s as shimmery coral-y as the pic looks) that it would be lovely with some metallic sea green, maybe something like Parrot. And then some iridescent teal mixed in!

BTW, is it just me, or does the Mac site often have not so accurate pics of the products? I mean, I’ve compared them to swatches I’ve seen, and sometimes they’re way off. I tried downloading the pics of the site once, and you end up just getting their overlay gif that they just lay over a flat block of color that makes it look like lipglass or whatever.

Do you notice that they’re accurate?

I totally agree with you. I’ve bought several products online… when they ship to me I’m really surprised and several times have wondered if MAC mislabeled a product because it is sooo different than the picture color swatches.

It is actually quite similar to the swatch (though obviously it will sheer out a bit, as it is a lipglass!).

Oh, the MAC’s site swatches are notoriously awful in terms of color accuracy. Even though I get the swatches from the site, I actually alter the color a bit in Photoshop to get it more realistic!

Can’t wait to hear what you all have to say! I just bought this online a while ago… let’s just say it is not really working on me! I’m an NC 20 and it just looks crazy bright on me…. hopefully I’ll get some good tips so that this tube doesn’t go unused.

Maybe if you use a darker lip pencil underneath this shade it wouldn’t be so bright. Auburn or Mahogany might look good. If I buy a color that is super bright, I usually put a little lip liner under it to darken it a little. Like a mahogany for reds and Hover for browns.

And I agree, it’s totally different online. It’s crazy.

OMG I love this lipglass. I actually love to wear it with the Clinique Chubby Stick in Vanilla Brownie. I have used this forever. When my final vanilla brownie is gone I don’t know what I’ll do lol
Anyway, it tones it down enough to be totally wearable all the time. Its a HG for me in the warmer months.

It’s one of my favorites, too, Brooke! :)

I like to pair lychee with Skew Lipstick. The combo is a very pretty coral that looks great with golden lemon pigment on lid and soft brown in crease.
I also tone it down with a touch of Wildly Lush Plushglass in the middle of my lips sometimes.

Lychee Luxe is one of my favorite lipglasses! I usually pair it with green eyeshadows or even with golds and burgundies. I like putting it on top of coral lipsticks too such as Capricious.

Mine, too, Janis! I also pair it with greens :) Never thought to put it over Capricious!

I creat an old hollywood glamour look. I pair Lychee Luke with a pink tinted lipbalm and a grey smokey eye with just flushed checks and sexy curly up-do.

Sounds gorgeous, Nikki!

I love all the suggestions given :) I don’t own a single coral type lippee….so I think this might be a good intro color for me. A starter color thats not nude (pink’ish nudes at that), pink or red which is all I own.

This is definitely one of my favorite perm colors, Tanya!

i have this lipglass … i really love it. i wear it a lot during the summer months when i have a tan. if im feeling its a bit too bright for me i pair it with cherish lipstick and summerfruit liner to kinda tone down the colour a little. if im feeling daring i will pair it with see sheer lipstick for a bit of va va voom!! i then usually go for a subtle blush application maybe springsheen and then i would go for either grey or bronzy eyes.

i love this gloss! i used it a lot over the summer and while i was on holiday. i matched it with sushi flower on inner lid, violet and cornflower pigment on middle of lid and aquadisiac and jewel blue on outer lid, with retrospeck highlight and in inner corner of lid. also a little carbon with 266 brush for liner and lots of mascara. (i tried this look again and added a touch of juiced and bitter for more of a tropical look, really nice.) on face a little foundation and peachtwist blusher, i have it as a sample, so im not sure if it came out but anything peachy would work. finish with lots of lychee luxe!! hope ive given u guys a cool idea!

This lipgloss goes great with greens! I wear it with juxt on the lid, humid in the crease — and a peachy blush like sunbasque or peachtwist. looks great!
