With a minimal face. A touch of color in the cheeks, and a coat of really black mascara. However this color is so versatile in my opinion. It would probably look just as bold with a smoky eye, or even a touch of turquoise liner on the eyes. Carthage is a perfect summer color!

  2. Probably with mascara and a thin line of liner on the upper lashline. It’s so bright, I wouldn’t dare do much else.

  3. I would do a simple sort of pin-up eye with minimal color; classic cat-eye, some highlight on the browbones and inner corner. Highlight the cheeks, contour as well (no blush for me–I like to make bold lip color be the star). I would probably put Carthage over a mix of MAC’s Cherry lipliner and MUFE’s 16C (fuschia) just for depth.

Goodness, “Carthage” truly is the most pretty Summer color isn’t it??

My dentist says my teeth are fairly white compared to most patients. Also, I do thorough oral grooming combined w/ those AMAZING Crest WhiteStrips (the 2-hour kind now.) Still bright pinks make my teeth look…a tad dingy in certain lights. Sucks, cause I would LOVE to wear this color. I do however LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the NARS “MayFlower” LipStick from the Summer 2011 Collection!! It is so flattering; likely for most skin tones. HAHA, but still…this color is so pretty…I may cave in eventually anyway ;c)~

One of the tricks I use is to combat the yellow teeth effect with lipsticks like this is to blend a little bit of blue eyeshadow with it as I apply it. Not so much hat it changes the color, but enough to add an undertone of blue, which makes my teeth appear whiter.

i wear this one all the time! this is what i wear when I am in the hurry.
I normally put super natural skin colour eyeshadow all over the lid.
cateye in very fine black line, not the chunky type.
don’t even need blush or bronzer.
the colour is so rich and pretty.. you don’t really need anything else.
you already look very ready to go. ^^

  6. I love how bright this lipstick is! I’d probably wear it with some winged black liner and mascara, and just a touch of light gold shadow on the lid.

  7. Maggie

I’d wear it with a pale minimal look and winged black liner.

I know this has nothing to do with nars, but Christine do you have a guesstimation of when we will get to see the products for semi-precious since its release is a month from today?

Is this a fair substiute for someone who missed out on Candy Yum Yum

  9. I LOVE this color! too bad NARS lipstick formulas look horrible on my lips. I tried it on in sephora and was in love. I thought since I can’t wear schiap, maybe this one???? nope. their formulas are too drying. still, a beautiful color :) I would wear it with thick cateye liner, the blackest lashes and a little bronzer on the cheeks. That would be my look!

Femme Fi all over the lid, black liner on top, light bronzer w/no blush and NARS Carthage lipstick.

painterly paint pot on the lid, black “cat” style eyeliner with slight wing, tons of mascara, a sheer hot pink blush, black pencil in outer half of the waterline

  12. Sam

i would think this would go nice with something from the ud rollergirl palette because you could do a minimal eye with a pop of pink to complement the pink on the lips.

  13. Julia

I would do a very simple neutral eye – blanc type or manilla paper on the lid and highlight, with wedge or cork in the crease. Thin winged liner and a touch of matte bronzer on the cheeks to contour.

  14. Kris

I’m wearing it today!! With a pink top! Haha, matte base, some bronzer, black eyeliner with falsies. Feels that the bronzer makes the PINK POP!

  15. Monika-Luiza

no foundation just TM and concealer, minimal contouring, no blush
bare study paintpot and lots of mascara

  16. I would wear it with pride and excitement :D…and with Stila ‘Cloud’ eyeshadow + mascara, and that’s it, nothing fancy or complicated, it’s all about the lipstick!!! And I *so* need this lipstick!

  17. Sexy Sadie

Bronzed cat eye liner and do a vintage make up.

  18. Darlene

I would wear it with a little black dress on a night out and a taupe smokey eye

  19. Ana

so beautiful!! neutral bright cream eye shadow, eyeliner… and you’ll look amazing
