Color Wheel: Canyon Sunrise

Date: Sunday, May 24th, 2009 Author:

Try painting a CANYON SUNRISE on your lid by combining a mix of golden hued yellows, sunkissed, fiery oranges, and warm brown to ground it.

With an eyeshadow brush, apply a goldenrod yellow all over the lid. In the middle third of the lid, lightly pat a muted, yellow-drenched orange with a fluffy brush. On the outer third of the lid, blend a fiery orange-red shade with a fluffy eyeshadow brush. Using a tapered crease brush, lightly blend the fiery orange-red shade into the crease Define the crease with a small, tapered crease brush and tap a deep, warm reddish brown color to add depth. Highlight the brow bone with a warm-hued neutral highlighter shade, and then line upper/lower lash line (as desired) with a black-brown shade. For complementing cheeks, try sunkissed cheeks by dusting a light touch of bronzer or a light tint of coral. Finish the look with lip colors in beiges, nudes, corals, or rusty browns for best results.
