The consistency was lightly creamy, smooth, and comfortable to wear as it didn’t cling nor did it feather. It had very good pigmentation that distributed evenly and smoothly across the lips. It had semi-opaque pigmentation that covered evenly, but I had a little bit of visible streaking, particularly around the edges, as the consistency was thin and emollient. It had good color payoff, though it didn’t quite cover my lip freckle, but the color applied evenly across the lips. The lipstick had a lightweight feel that didn’t migrate or feather beyond my natural lip line. I found the formula on this shade to be moderately hydrating as well as long-wearing at six hours. Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.10 oz.) is supposed to be a creamy, long-wearing, richly pigmented formula that’s lightweight and moisturizing. The consistency is light-medium in thickness–not thin but not heavy–that sits well on the lips and adheres for four to seven hours comfortably. Most of the shades had semi-opaque to fully opaque color coverage that went on evenly and smoothly. Some shades were nicely hydrating while others were lightly moisturizing but none of the Cream shades were drying. There is a very, very faint vanilla scent to them (I can only detect when the entire tube is untwisted) but no discernible taste.
