Guerlain Ors et Merveilles Eye & Blush Palette ($90.00 for 0.40 oz.) includes five eyeshadows housed in the top tier and then four blushes hidden beneath it in the lower tier. I’m not a fan of the blush formula they use in these tiered palettes, and I’m even less of a fan of the fact that the pans are tiny (even the “large” ones)–an eye brush just comfortably fits in the smallest pans, so you can imagine what a pain it is to dip a blush brush just into one shade (better to think of them as duos or even a single shade, perhaps). The blush formula is on the drier, dustier side and has lesser color payoff, though it is somewhat buildable. I like the eyeshadow formula a lot more, but the colors are dupable, typical for holiday (not really a bad thing, but it’s less tempting for some), and even more, more similar than not to last year’s holiday palette as well. That being said, the eyeshadows weren’t good enough to make up for the subpar blush performance this year.
