Viseart Highlight/Contour (01) Blush Palette ($80.00 for 0.84 oz.) is a six-pan blush palette that is the same size (and contains the same amount) as the eyeshadow palettes. It comes in a black plastic compact with a clear lid. The highlighting shades are on the left, while the contouring shades are on the right. The formula used for the highlighters is really nice–dense, buttery, and blendable–and feels similar to their shimmery eyeshadows, while the formula used for the contour powders is more like the powder blush formula. The formula is supposed to “apply seamlessly” and have “sheer to fuller coverage.” Generally, the pigmentation was buildable from medium coverage, fairly blendable, and long-wearing (eight to nine hours); I only had issues with the two deeper contour shades, as they weren’t as easily blended and diffused on the skin as the other four shades. Unfortunately, that accounts for 1/3 of the palette being problematic, and at this price point, that’s likely to be a deal-breaker.

Highlight #1 is a light beige with warm undertones and a luminous sheen. It had medium coverage that was buildable to opaque coverage, while the consistency was soft enough that it could be diffused and blended out for sheerer coverage, if desired. The texture felt smooth to the touch, blended easily, and sat well on the skin without emphasizing pores. On me, it wore well for eight and a half hours. Highlight #2 is a light-medium, rosy copper with warm undertones and a frosted, slightly metallic sheen. The consistency was dense, creamy, and easy to work with on the skin as it blended out beautifully. The coverage was buildable from semi-sheer to mostly opaque (within two to three layers). Highlight #3 is a medium, coppery-brown with warm, gold and orange shimmer. It had semi-sheer to opaque, buildable coverage, which was easy enough to layer without it looking heavy or emphasizing the skin’s natural texture. The consistency, though, was a little drier and felt looser in the pan, so it had a tendency to sheer out initially and took some extra effort to even out. Contour #1 is a light-medium brown with subtle, warm undertones and a matte finish. The pigmentation was buildable from sheer to semi-opaque. It had a soft, silky consistency in the pan but did kick up an excess amount of product in the pan. Luckily, it did not appear dry or chalky on the skin; on me, the color did disappear as it is closer to my skin tone, but it would show up more noticeably on someone with fairer skin. Contour #2 is a medium-dark brown with subtle, warm, reddish undertones and a matte finish. While the powder felt soft and finely-milled, it was also a little grainy, as the powder clumped together here and there and did not even out as nicely as anticipated. When I tried it on my face, it blended out better there when I used a fluffier brush, but it was still not as even as I would have liked. Contour #3 is a deep, purplish burgundy with a matte finish. It is a “cooler” contour, though it is more neutral-to-warm in actual undertone, but the burgundy color makes it more unique compared to most contour shades. The problem with this shade was the grainy texture that was harder to blend out, but it also seemed to “sink” into pores–my skin looked dotted with deeper specks of color.
