Lancome Drama Liqui-Pencil Longwear Eyeliner ($23.00 for 0.042 oz.) is supposed to be a richly pigmented, long-wearing (24 hour wear, no seriously, that’s how it’s marketed), waterproof, and creamy pencil eyeliner. This review features the two matte shades I bought, which I felt were longer-wearing compared to the shimmery shades I tried. The texture of the pencils is moderately creamy and doesn’t tug, so they apply nicely and lay down decently color in a single pass. The wear was all over the place for the eyeliners I happened to buy, from five hours to twelve hours. There is still color intact even after fifteen hours, but it was always significantly thinner.

It had semi-opaque pigmentation in one stroke, which was somewhat buildable–it appeared brighter and more intense–but coverage was always somewhat translucent. The consistency was creamy and easy to apply without tugging on the lash line, and the eyeliner wore well for twelve hours on me before it started to fade/thin with decent color still apparent at fifteen hours. It had semi-opaque coverage in one pass, which was buildable to mostly opaque coverage. The texture was creamy and applied without pulling on the lash line. It dried down and was budge-proof for twelve hours before breaking down, where it would fade/thin over the next several hours. It had nearly all but disappeared by the 24-hour mark.
