Chanel Duo No. 02 Les Beiges Healthy Glow Multi-Colour ($65.00 for 0.39 oz.) is supposed to be used as a highlighting and contouring powder duo that gives a “sheer, natural finish.” Between the two duos offered, this is the “better” one, but it still falls noticeably short when it comes to being blendable and easy to use. I just think that the texture is far too firm, too stiff, and it translates into application, which is where it really counts. For some, this might be a happy accident, but the darker “contour” shade here is far from “sheer.”

No. 02 (Top) is a very light beige with subtler, warmer undertones and a fine shimmer-sheen finish. The texture was softer than the other shade’s highlighter, though it was still firmer and required a denser brush (I used a blush brush–most of my highlighter-centric blushes were too feathery/soft). No. 02 (Bottom) is a bright, medium-dark coral-red with warm, orange undertones and a semi-matte finish. It had semi-opaque color payoff with a stiffer consistency in the pan, which made it harder to blend out and get it to look even/diffused on the skin.
