The highlighter stood out above all the other shades in the palette, which were more so-so and just not high-performing enough to be impressive.

Soleil d'Ambre (Blush)

Soleil d’Ambre (Blush) is a soft, medium-dark plum with warmer undertones and a satin sheen. It had good color payoff that was buildable to full coverage with a second layer. The texture was smooth and velvety to the touch but seemed a little drier on my skin as it took a little more effort to diffuse the edges. It wore well for nine hours on me before fading noticeably.

Soleil d’Ambre #1 (Eye Color) is a soft, pale pink with warm undertones and a frosted shimmer. It had sheer coverage, did not build up, and did not improve over primer. The texture was drier and dusty, which may have been part of the reason the pigmentation was so poor. The color seemed to stay on (what little I could see) for around six and a half hours.

Soleil d’Ambre #2 (Eye Color) is a light-medium gold with warm, brown undertones and a sparkling finish. It had semi-sheer pigmentation, which was only buildable if applied with a dampened brush. Based on my experience with the brand’s eyeshadows, I expect this is their ‘sheer sparkle” finish, so the sheerness wasn’t unexpected. The consistency has an almost wet-like feel to it, though it goes on like a powder. It lasted for eight hours but had some fallout over time.
