It had semi-sheer color coverage with a lightly glossy finish. The color applied evenly and didn’t pull into lip lines. This shade lasted for two hours, while the glitter lasted a bit longer. This was the “roughest” shade in terms of texture, as it appeared full of glitter, though it didn’t translate as overtly sparkly on the lips. It had very sheer coverage with moderate shimmer. FORMULA OVERVIEW | Surratt Beauty Prismatique Lips ($36.00 for 0.08 oz.) is supposed to give “sheer, glistening shine” and color with a “moisturizing” formula that “glides on effortlessly.” The formula is sometimes pearly, sometimes even glittery, and though it isn’t gritty, I can certainly feel the distinctive texture of the sparkle/glitter as I apply the lipstick with some shades. They have a lot of slip, and they have very little wear time–one to two hours–when it comes to the “color” of them (they are supposed to be sheer, and they are; one doesn’t need every shade) and then the glitter slides around for another hour. Some of the glitter travels past the lip line. The formula is lightly hydrating, comfortable to wear, and definitely catches the light in a pretty way, but the wear time, traveling glitter, and streaky/settling color were all disappointing. I think these would have been better as glosses. They were designed to be worn alone or layered, though the emollient texture didn’t play well with all lipsticks (particularly anything in the satin or matte family). I didn’t notice any scent/taste.
