Melt Cosmetics Estrella Gel Liner ($19.00 for 0.088 oz.) is a rich, deeper gold with moderate, warm undertones–not quite antique-leaning but not that orange-based either–with a smooth, metallic shine. It had nearly opaque color coverage in a single layer, but it was a little overly emollient, so I preferred to give it a little time (like five seconds) to “dry” before applying it to my lid and this ensured a more even, fuller coverage application. It stayed on well for 10 hours without fading or flaking.

Melt Cosmetics Colibri Gel Liner ($19.00 for 0.088 oz.) is a deep, rich teal with cool, blue undertones and a pearly sheen. The texture was emollient without being too slippery, so it was fluid and easy to work with as an eyeliner or as a cream eyeshadow. It had rich color payoff in a single layer, and a little went a long way. It wore nicely for 10 hours without fading or thinning on me.
