Tom Ford Beauty Violet Argente Eye & Cheek Palette ($155.00 for 0.45 oz.) contains four eyeshadows and two cheek colors. Two of the eyeshadows are nice enough, and the highlighting shade was excellent, but the rest were nowhere the quality level one would expect of a luxury brand or at this price point.

Violet Argente (Blush)

Violet Argente (Blush) is a medium pink with warm undertones and a matte finish. It had medium pigmentation that was buildable to semi-opaque coverage on the cheeks with two to three layers. The texture was soft, lightly dusty, but not too thin or too thick, and it blended out easily on the skin. It wore well for seight hours on me.

Violet Argente #1 (Eye Color)

Violet Argente #1 (Eye Color) is a pale pink with pink micro-sparkle over a matte base. The eyeshadow was moderately powdery and drier, so it was prone to sheering out and had fallout during application. The sparkles did not bind with the base, so it was mostly matte in terms of functionality on the eye. It lasted for seven hours on me.

Violet Argente #3 (Eye Color) is a medium brown with warm undertones and a pearl finish. The pigmentation was nearly opaque, while the consistency was soft, blendable, and finely-milled without sheering out too readily. It stayed on well for seven and a half hours on me.

Violet Argente #4 (Eye Color)

Violet Argente #4 (Eye Color) is a medium-dark purple with warmer undertones and a sparkling, metallic sheen. The texture was denser and drier, and I found this shade exceptionally difficult to apply to the lid with brushes or even fingertips, and it was a real challenge to blend out, particularly as it was much thicker compared to the other powders in the palette so it did not layer well with them. It started to flake off my lid after six hours of wear.
