This shade had semi-opaque pigmentation that applied fairly evenly but had a tendency to settle into lip lines immediately. The settling worsened over the four hours the color lasted, unfortunately. While it was lightly hydrating, it was one of the worst shades I tried in this formula due to the application and more slippery consistency of the lipstick itself. It had good color coverage that applied without tugging on the lips, as the texture was lightly creamy without feeling heavy or moving easily. This shade felt more emollient than some shades, so the finish was glossier. It was moderately moisturizing over the four hours it wore for, but I did have a bit of color settle into lip lines over time. Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick ($21.00 for 0.10 oz.) is supposed to be a creamy, long-wearing, richly pigmented formula that’s lightweight and moisturizing. The consistency is light-medium in thickness–not thin but not heavy–that sits well on the lips and adheres for four to seven hours comfortably. Most of the shades had semi-opaque to fully opaque color coverage that went on evenly and smoothly. Some shades were nicely hydrating while others were lightly moisturizing but none of the Cream shades were drying. There is a very, very faint vanilla scent to them (I can only detect when the entire tube is untwisted) but no discernible taste.
