NARS Linda Audacious Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium-dark, coppery orange with warm, brown undertones and a cream finish. It had opaque color coverage in a single layer, while the lipstick was moderately creamy and had noticeable slip on the lips. The color went on evenly and did not appear streaky, even along the edges. It lasted for four and a half hours and was lightly moisturizing over time.

NARS Louise Audacious Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium-dark red with subtle, warm undertones and a cream finish. The pigmentation was very nearly opaque in a single layer–I could see the outline of my lip freckle peeking through but just barely. The texture was smooth, lightweight, and creamy without being slippery on the lips. I felt like this particular shade looked smoother and more flattering on the lips compared to the others released for fall. On me, the lipstick wore well for six hours and was lightly hydrating over time.

NARS Vibeke Audacious Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.14 oz.) is a medium peach with warm, orange undertones and a cream finish. It had nearly opaque pigmentation with a creamy, moderately emollient texture that glided easily across the lips. The color applied evenly, but the lipstick seemed to emphasize my lips texture, which was, admittedly, worse than the norm after some of the products I had tested prior, but still, Audacious Lipsticks tend to make my lips appear better (you can see the difference in how this looked compared to the other two reviewed above, the photos were taken only a day apart). Vibeke lasted for four hours on me and was lightly hydrating.

Formula Overview

The formula is supposed to have "one-stroke, full-coverage" pigmentation with a "soft matte finish" that is "long-lasting" and "hydrating." The formula is best characterized by its texture: creamy, smooth, and slightly denser/thicker on (but not heavy) compared to the typical lipstick formula. Most of the shades are opaque, while "weak" shades are more semi-opaque. The majority of the colors I've tested have applied evenly and smoothly with good glide and feel comfortable on my lips. They tend to last between four and six hours and was lightly hydrating to non-drying. There was no noticeable scent or taste.
