Hourglass Secretly Confession Lipstick ($34.00 for 0.03 oz.) is a rich, medium-dark red with subtle, cool undertones and a satin finish. It had intense, full color payoff in a single layer, while the lipstick had a lightweight, creamy texture that applied evenly and glided effortlessly across the lips but still sat well, didling gather in my lip lines, and was comfortable to wear. This shade was still going strong after six hours of wear and was lightly moisturizing.

The formula is supposed to have “creamy, saturated, longwearing color with a satin finish.” It’s a light-medium thick formula that was typically opaque with a lightly creamy texture that glided on without tugging but did not slide around while worn. The majority of shades had a natural to satin finish, and they lasted anywhere from four to seven hours with light hydration. The best performing shades were light to dark while the lightest and deepest shades weren’t quite as consistent.

The lipstick can be purchased with the full packaging/applicator for $34 or as a refill-only for $22. The refill packaging is substantial enough that it is usable on its own, as there’s a detachable base that the refillable cap clicks onto (with an audible click), but they are very slim–and that’s not a surprise given they only contain 0.03 oz. making them one of the smaller lipsticks on the market. It had excellent pigmentation that applied evenly and easily across the lips without tugging. The lipstick had a lightweight, creamy texture that didn’t feel too slippery on the lips, so it stayed in place over five and a half hours and did not feather on me. The formula felt lightly moisturizing while worn.
